Manufacturing Update April 3, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. We realize many of you are tuning in for the very first time today because you may be home sheltering in place, doing some due diligence on our brand. We welcome first timers. Then on the flip side many of you are here looking to see if your order has come back in from finishes, or gone out. Welcome back to those family members.

Thank You

As always a heartfelt thank you, now more than ever, for all your support, and most importantly your trust. Team BT is going to be here with you every step of the way as we navigate these most uncertain times.

Yes, it won’t be easy nothing, worth fighting for is. Once we get on the other side of this pandemic, and we will, things we took for granted will be so much sweeter as a result of the challenges we all faced together.

We will keep it brief today, letting you know what has come back, and gone for finishes, as well as some logistics and low stock items. Let’s get started.

Copper is Back

First the copper batch is back in liquid, matte, and machine finishes. We have started to sort through that batch. We will jump on those pieces next week getting the parts engraved, and catch cans assembled to ship to your doorstep.

Red, F8 Green and Jazz Blue Went Out

We sent a very large round of standard red anodize out today, and the remaining older orders of F8 Green, and Jazz Blue. These are the orders that were placed with us prior to stopping the factory color match options.

As we explained in Wednesday’s update (April 1st) we will be holding off on the relaunch of the factory color match options until things start to level off with the uncertainty right now due to the Corona Virus.

Batches Expected Back Next Week

We have been told by our anodizer that the black is being worked on right now, and that batch plus the matte red, will be completed next week.

There is an outside chance the titanium wraps up next week also. As usual we will be doing at least two updates next week possible more as developments warrant.

Catch Cans

All satin catch cans ordered from March 25th through April 2nd will be shipping out Monday and Tuesday next week.

Slight Shipping Delays

If you see your order is in ready to ship status, as covered in Wednesday’s Update, due to our staggered shifts we are having to wear many hats amongst us therefore, there may be a few days delay from the time Alex prepares the shipping paperwork in the office, until Andrea, or Kevin, get things packaged.

Supply Chain Flexibility and Logistics

In speaking with our supplier partners on hose and fittings, we went ahead and tripled our current order. This way we are sure to have the needed supplies, on hand, to keep our catch cans in assembly and shipping.

This is smart business to stay ahead of any shortages that may start to crop up if the current pandemic goes deep into the spring, and early summer months.

Regardless we are all in this together working with our partners, and suppliers, on logistics or short falls so we can come up with a plan that has minimum impacts on our production here.

As we mentioned in Wednesday’s update, valve covers have been pushed out as we are having issues getting drops from the foundry. We are going to move the coolant tank covers into the machine time slotted for the valve covers starting the week of April 13th. By the time we finish up the coolant tank covers our valve cover material will be here.

Coil Pack Covers

We have sold out of coil pack covers and will be making more this month. ETA to manufacture them is probably the last week of April. This way we will have them to go along with the current, and final, valve cover run that will start in the next 30 days.

Jeep, Ram & Durango Hood Strut Covers

We have completed the manufacturing run on hood shock covers for the 2013-2020 Jeep SRT’s, the 2009-2020 Ram Trucks and the 2013-2020 Dodge Durango.

Satin machine finishes are in stock again and colors on lead-time as long as our supplier partners can remain operational and we can remain operational.
