Manufacturing Update July 29, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to another update for the month of July. We appreciate you being here, and tuning in for the latest, and greatest here at BT HQ.

Because of all of you we are still able to do what we love to do, and that’s make cool parts for cool people with cool cars. Thank you never seems enough. We shall and always be grateful, and humbled, for your trust, and support.

Cooper is Back, Red Went Out

When we picked up the copper from anodize yesterday we dropped of a big round of standard red anodize.

Please review the table closely, and also review the subtable that is after it. We have some orders that went out less the low and high pressure a/c port caps. Those will go to plating on Friday and will be added into the batch.

As is always our goal to be completely transparent we made sure to let you know which orders were affected by this just in case there are any issues.

Matte Red is On Deck

We do plan on sending a large batch of matte red out on Friday, July 31st. Please check back in for that in the next couple of days.

Black, and matte black, will be next to go out sometime the middle part of next week.

Batches Still Out for Color

The following finishes are out for plating or powder coating:

• Yellow from July 8th
  (should be ready later this week or Monday)
• White from July 14th
• Clear and matte clear anodize from July 17th
  (that batch was in the tank yesterday when we picked up the copper)
• Lime Green from July 21st
• Purple and matte purple from July 24th.

If you have a local car show, and see your order has come back in from color, and you need us to get on it, and get it out please call (561.582.6171) or email us so we can work to accommodate you.

However, if you have additional engraving, or designer cuts, be aware there is a lead time for finishing final processes.

Machines are Up, Chips are Flyin’

As we mentioned in our update from July 21st the middle milling center, and quick turn lathe, are back up and operational.

The rest of the valve covers just came off final operations on the mill.

Stock Status Updates

All stock statuses on each product are up to date on the website (availability) with an ETA to run if out of stock, or indicating the product is manufacturing now.

When in doubt about availability on any thing just drop us an email or give us a ring on the phone (561.582.6171) and a BT teammate will be ready to help you.

Power Steering, Oil, & Washer Caps

We will be setting up to run power steering caps, oil caps, and washer caps on that machine as we are currently tapped out on each product as of yesterday’s close of business. Material for each of those items is here, and will be running concurrently together all next week.

Those parts will be back in stock (in machine satin finish) starting late next week, and we will be fully replenished inventory wise by the second week of August.

Classic BT Dipsticks

We also are out of the classic style BT Oil dipsticks (non sigma series), and those go on the lathe. Those won’t go on the machine until the second week of August as we have Devo Style strut covers running now. When we finish those strut covers up we will sneak the dip sticks in.

Hood Shock Covers

The hood shock covers will run after the classic dipsticks, to get us out of the hole on some of the turning work that backed up here on the automotive side of things when that machine was down.

Devo Style Strut Covers:

On the lathe now. Satin machine finish will be shipping starting last next week.  We have several orders that are bit long in the tooth (even for us) and we are on them. Colors will start to go out in middle August to get finished and shipped out to you.  

Fuse Box Covers

Fuse box covers for the Charger, 300, and Challenger sold out yesterday, for all years.

Material will be ordered for them next week, and we will be running them late the second week of August. Do expect some delays, and we will do our best to get them back on the shelf, and out for color as quickly as possible in August.

We have weekends scheduled for the entire month on the shop floor to keep things moving along.

Satin Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipped for all orders placed through July 26th. One lone exception is a Jeep can ordered on July 24th. We ran out of brackets on Tuesday, and they are on the machine now being run. That order will ship tomorrow, or early Friday (order 103495 if you are the client and tuning in).

All satin catch can orders from July 27th through current business are in assembly, moving into packaging and shipping on the daily.

We remain within standard lead times, shipping those satin cans within 3-5 business days of ordering.

Remember if you order a satin machine finished catch can and need us to ship it out the next business day please let us know in the order comments section when checking out online. If you call in, let the BT member who is helping you over the phone know you need it ASAP, and we will get it handled for you.

Factory Colors Available August 3rd

As we mentioned on the last update the factory color matching on select colors will return to the website on August 3rd for ordering. You can order right online, or staring on Monday, you can call in (561.582.6171) to place a phone order!

The response has been awesome to the new Roman Gold Bronze color, and it is now a drop down option on each product in the store. We will get a batch out to finish for new orders placed for that finish probably the week of August 17th, if not sooner.

We need the parts mentioned in the stock statues above, to be replenished before we send a batch out for color. We may send a quickie batch of catch cans to be coated. As always, check in here on the updates for the latest, and greatest or just give us a call.

A Quick Note About Covid19

The BT Team is working. Our vendor partners are continuing to work as well. We are practicing, and enforcing, all safety precautions including deep steam cleaning, bleach wipe downs several times per day, as well as safe social distancing within the shop.

We are however in one of the current “hotspots” in the country (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties).

Please be mindful we may experience delays here at any given moment for anything from material, to outside services, to perhaps a disruption within our facility itself.

Our people adhere to the the golden rule of personal responsibility, and practice all the proper steps as recommended by the CDC.

Common sense always will win the day. Our team remains healthy, safe and in good spirits. We will continue to work hard not only for you, our automotive clients, but our clients in the medical, and aerospace fields that we also service, and support.

Visitors to BT HQ

If you are planning on picking up parts at our shop, or want to come visit, we kindly ask you to call ahead. We are only allowing two people per party to visit at a time. Please be sure to have a face covering when planning to enter the facility to meet the crew, and take the tour.
