Manufacturing Update March 13th, 2018

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to another Manufacturing Update from Team BT. Today’s update will cover what has come back in from plate, and also what satin catch cans are in the build queue and any orders currently in the engrave que.  

Spring Fest 13

First and always we want to thank you all for the generous support and trust.  Thank you all who welcomed us out west in SoCal this past weekend for Spring Fest 13.  While the weather was damp and cool it did not set back the good times, as an amazing experience was had by all at Spring Fest.  The Team no longer goes to events to sell anything, we have not for years, we are car enthusiasts and racers like you are and we simply come to appreciate the nice rides and amazing people.  We got to talk to many of you and sadly we missed many we wanted to see.  Until next time and again thank you!

Colors Out at Finish

Folks we still have the following items out at finish:

• Purple including matte purple from March 8th
• Standard black from March 6th
• Matte red from March 6th (that is being prepped now at our plater to be dipped within the day will have back by the end of this week).
• Matte black from February 16th

Post-Finish Lead Times

Please, when your orders do come back in from finish allow us 10-15 days to perform any assemblies and/or final processes such as engraving prior to sending your packages out.  If you see your order has come back in and you have an upcoming event that you feel you will be pressed for time to get call us so we can move you up and get you completed and out the door.  We will work with anyone if we can to make sure we meet your need by date.  

Satin Catch Cans

The satin machine finish catch cans are for individual customers (no bulk or dealer bulk or blanket orders) are in a table below.  The spread is from February 15th right through orders received on March 12th.  We are building over 1,000 units per month to meet demand not only for satin machine finish but for all finishes (we have material drops here every day now for cans).  We do state on our site to allow up to two weeks for satin to ship, but as is evident by our statement we do have some cans going about 3.5 weeks.  

Limiting Factors

Many factors are at play most importantly the demand is INCREASING and we are taxing our hose, fittings, and general suppliers for things we do not make here to keep within that 2 week bracket.  We also are bottlenecking at times on brackets and right now we are tapped out on Jeep / Durango Brackets and fender mounts presently.  We will not be able to get a machine open to produce those mounts until the week of March 26th so there will be some delays there.  

Hellcat Quick Connects

We also are down to three sets of Hellcat quick connect units, however, we do have material here and will be putting them on the machine on the 15th again. We do have some cans that have come back in from colors that are just waiting for the quick connect system to ship the orders but will get them cleaned up and out of here early next week.  

Average Stain Catch Can Lead Time

Realistically if you order a satin catch can for any vehicle, expect them to ship within 15 days.  If you need it sooner please let us know either in the comments box or by calling us so we can be sure to earmark your order to a rush build that will allow us to get it out the door in a couple of days.

Out of Stock Items

We are out of stock on the following items (some we covered last week):

• Fender mounts for catch cans running the week of March 26th
• Jeep / Durango mounts for catch cans running the week of March 26th
• 2005-2010 Washer fluid caps back in stock again late March early April
• 2013 and up throttle body covers back in stock again early April
• Coil pack covers pushed to manufacturing second week of April
• Ram / Durango Fuse box covers pushed to mid April manufacturing
• Sigma Series Radiator and Super Charger Coolant tank caps running again week of March 26th
• 3MM Hub-centric Spacers (we had a major run on these the in late February) will be back in stock early April again.
• Hellcat bypass valve cover back in stock again early April.
• Water necks non Hellcats we will be ordering material next week to come in the last week of March. Should go on for machining first week fo April.  
• Coolant tank covers.
   Yes these are hot hot and hotter.  We are sold out again and we ordered material that is due in late the week of March 19th. We have everyone covered through March 2nd it appears but will get a firm update on that on the next MFG Update we launch before the end of this week.  This tank fits all 11 and up 300, Charger and Challenger with no hood closure issues.  

Store Stock Statuses

All other items we offer we are in good shape inventory wise and have plenty of blanks on the shelf in machine satin.  We will have each individual product updated in the “availability” concerning stock status within 24 hours.  We always use our MFG Updates to let you know stock status first so you are informed.  

Lead Times, Outside Services, and Processes

We do have a smooth system in place to keep within the 20 business day lead-time: with product set aside, and allocated, for all the colors we offer going out to finish on a rotating basis. For the most part we are hitting that number (20 business days), but please remember if our amazing outside suppliers are busy we can experience delays.

BT deals with local suppliers who are the best in their craft and you benefit by our partnerships with these folks to ensure you get the best product period.  There truly is no comparison and will go head to head with any other shops out there.

If you can’t wait, or don’t want to wait we understand.  Want the best and ORIGINAL product that has been copied by everyone and their brother(s)? Then welcome aboard and and thank you for your trust.  It’s easy to copy someone. It’s harder to create something truly original and that is something the team here has been doing since day one going all the way back to the summer of 2006.

We make every effort to communicate with you clearly and with transparency before, during and after the sale.  As we often say the last thing we want is for you to receive your items and love the way they look adn fit, but you have a bitter taste in your mouth because of unmet expectations. Our commitment to service, and transparency is why we put so much time into providing you with these updates.
