Manufacturing Update March 25, 2020

Good afternoon friends, and family. First, and foremost, our team is sending out thoughts, and good vibes to our customers who are being directly affected by the Corona Virus. We understand these are difficult times for so many of you, and we want you to know your BT Team is going to be here with you every step of the way.

BT is an Essential Business

We continue to be able to work as our business is manufacturing. We do actually make our own products, not just the BT Line, but we support other essential industries that are needed right now. Therefore, we should remain open as should our material suppliers, and plater. As long as we are able to work, without a Federal or State order to shut down, we will. The team will continue to ship parts out daily as well.

Safety Measures for COVID19

Team BT is a crew of 10. We have five coming in from 4:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. EST. The second group reports for work at 1:00 P.M. and leaves at 9:30 P.M. Here are the steps we are taking to ensure our crew is safe, and that we are handling your parts using the extreme care we always do:

• Before each crew shift reports the shop is cleaned. We continue to clean all work spaces, machinery controls, and disinfecting prior to the next group coming in.
• Hand Sanitizer is at each work station.
• All rags used during daily operations are put in the laundry at 7:00 each evening, and then in the dryer.
• At the end of the day’s operations the shop is throughly mopped down with Clorox
• All bathrooms are mopped, and disinfected twice per day.
• When BT Teammates are handling, and packaging your orders, each part is throughly cleaned with acetone, and/or an alcohol wipe.
• Gloves are always worn while packaging.
• Our team is reporting to, and from work practicing proper social distancing both here and on their downtime.
• We are keeping our excursions to a minimum, only going out for food or necessities.
• To further minimize our crew’s exposure we have setup Tuesdays as “group shopping.” Each teammate provides a shopping list, and our very own Sebastian is doing the shopping for our crew, and family members.
• We are taking our temperatures daily
• NO visitors are being permitted entry into the facility.
• Deliveries are coming in to one central location at the back of our facility.
• BT Phone hours remain effective from 6:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. eastern. We are actually answering calls past the regular hours as we are here it’s just hard to hear the phone if we are in the shop.

Orders Marked for Local Pickup, are Now Being Shipped

Customers who had made arrangements to visit our facility to pickup their orders, we will ship your orders to you at no cost. We are contacting you to confirm your shipping address, so please be on the lookout for a call from us.

We do have locals that come to pickup, folks from out of the country, or out of town who schedule pickups here.  Please no worries we will ship to you, and not have you wait until the “all clear” is given, as we do not know when that will be.

Color In, Colors Out

With that, we do have an update for you today so let’s make it brief. First let’s see what has come in, and gone out, for finishes.

Today we received the batches of orange, matte orange anodize, clear and matte clear anodize back from our plater. We also received the lime green metallic and racing red metallic powder coat back in. Please check the tables below to find your order. We sent out blue and matte blue for plating. On Friday’s update you will see titanium (both matte and standard) as well as standard red headed out for finish.

We should receive the red line red pearl back in this week, probably on Friday.

Factory Matched Colors

We will send out the remainder of the octane red, jazz blue, and F8 Green which were on order prior to us removing them from the website.

Our vendor partner has expanded operations, but we are holding on the re-release of factory color match finishes until we see what shakes down on the shelter in place orders that are changing daily in our area.

Our plater would be an essential operations partner, as they support the medical industry as we do, however our powder coating partners we cannot speak to their operations schedules.

We will continue to send out our current color offerings on the website, but want to be sure when we release the factory color match the coast is clear.

Catch Cans

All satin catch cans ordered through March 24th will be shipped by Friday, March 27th. We have had shipments of fittings, and hose backing up due to some warehouses shortages.

The warehouses where we get our supplies from ran short, and deliveries were rerouted due to the current pandemic. However our suppliers are working through these to get us what we need as quickly as possible. Our shipment of hose, and hardware will arrive tomorrow. We have been waiting for 9 days for those packages to arrive.

BT Vault Interior Items

Folks with BT Vault Interior bling on order: satin machine finished items are in packaging now.

Many folks with blue orders your interior items are on today’s update less the window switch kits. We are wrapping those up in manufacturing now. We are testing these on our factory modules here for fit and QC prior to shipping machine finish. We will then begin sending off batches to color.

Stock Status

We remain in good shape inventory wise.

Hood shock covers in satin will start to ship probably on Friday, NLT Monday.

We are very low on beverage deletes, and will run them sometime in April.

Valve cover material is ordered, and will begin machining in early April.

Coolant tank covers we had one left as of Tuesday call if interested. Next run on the coolant tanks will be mid April.

Of course these ETA’s to run are subject to change due to the evolving situation with the corona virus.
