Manufacturing Update October 6, 2020

Good evening family. Welcome to the first MFG Update of October, and the 4th quarter of 2020.

What a Year

It’s been a year for ups and downs that is for sure, but as promised we have be here with you all the way, and we still are. What’s ironic in all of that is you were here for us in our darkest hours from late July, and all of August as Covid 19 hit our shop and went bonkers.

As the majority of our crew got sick, and in the middle of it all there were only three of our ten person crew standing. We picked up the slack for our absent coworkers, and for you.

Your support, and boxes of treats that you sent along to our team was appreciated more than you guys will ever know.

Let’s get right on in to today’s update. We have a lot to cover, so let’s go!

Polish In, Polish Out

First we received the polish back from September 16th and also sent along another small round of polish. Mostly older items that we have just finished manufacturing where the bulk of those orders the parts already shipped.

Black Catch Can Batch Out, and Back In

Last week we sent 20 catch cans to black anodize that needed to be expedited. Those cans are on the tables in this update, and have gone out to be finished and come back in.

We just got another big batch of black fittings in, so you will see tracking details hitting your inboxes on those orders before the end of the week.

Big Batch of Red Went Out

As you can see in the table below, we sent a big batch of red out today. Over 6200 pieces total!!

Standard Red Catch Cans

All standard red catch can orders through September 29th are in this batch. More red will go out later next week. All the older items are in this round, and most orders up through the last week of September, are in that batch too.

Orange and Matte Orange

If you follow along you know we got a bunch of orange and matte orange back last week before the Team BT Road Crew hit the highways, and skies, for Lone Star Moparfest. We got the bulk of the cans out already, and as mentioned above, we just received our batch of black fittings in so we will get the remainder of those cans out this week.

F8 Green Catch Cans

We still have a few F8 Green Catch Cans from the last batch that came in, and needed black fittings. Those of you that saw your orders come back in from color, and have not shipped yet, your can will ship this week.

Finishes Still Out for Color

The following finishes are still out. Remember our plater is extremely busy, and backed up, as mentioned in our update from September 28th.

Expect approximately 3 weeks for a turn around time when your orders go out. If it can be sooner, it will be. Any questions, or if you just want to vent, please call (561.582.6171) or email us. We are here for you.

• Purple and Matte Purple from September 28th.
  – We have a one week delay. Those items will be here before the end of the week.
• Copper both machine and matte finishes from September 15th
  – We should see those orders back in our facility late next, or week early the following week
• Titanium and matte titanium finishes from September 15th
  – We should see those orders back in our facility last next week early the following week.
• Blue and Matte Blue from September 22nd
  – Those orders should be back in to us the last week of October, hopefully sooner.
• Matte Black and Matte Red batches from September 28th
  – We should see those those orders back in here the last week of October as well.
• Lime Green Metallic from September 24th
  – Those orders will be ready for us to pickup from powder coating later this week.
• Octane Red sent out September 22nd.
  – Those orders should be back in here later this week.

Colors on Deck

Standard Black

This batch will DEFINITELY be going to plate tomorrow. Look for the table in Friday’s update. We will have the bulk of the back orders all the way through current business out for plating. If you want to call us to be sure please do not hesitate to do so. We needed some oil dipsticks to come off the machine today to add to a bunch of the black orders that was the delay on why we did not send those orders up today.

Satin Catch Cans

All satin catch cans ordered through September 28th are in shipping now. Your tracking details will be in your inboxes within the next day.

All satin cans from September 29th through today’s business are in assembly, and will be moving into shipping all week.

If you see your order is pending to ship status when you log in it wont be long until the tracking details hit your inbox.

Low or Out of Stock Items

The following items are low stock, or out of stock. We will update each individual product within the next couple of days on the store side, but as mentioned time, and again when in doubt, reach out.

• 3MM Spacers
  – We rolled through over 300 sets in the past 60 days. We ordered material today, and will make a fresh batch the week of October 19th. Shipping should resume later that week. If anything changes we will post here.
• ID Plates
  – We have limited stock, and colors. We will be making blanks again before the end of the month.
• Transmission Cap Covers
  – We will run these late next week, expect little, to no delays in shipping under hood kits.
• Uni-strut covers
  – These are sold out, and we will make a new round later this month, or early November to cover us through the holiday season.
• Oil Dipsticks
  – These are manufacturing now both classic BT style, and sigma series. We will be fully restocked in the coming week to 10 days on both in satin machine finish.
• Hood Shock Covers for Challenger, Charger and 300
  – Wow is all we can say. These are sold out again after running over 1200 sets just two months ago!! Material will be ordered later this week. We will get more run off this month, with an eye towards tripling our manufacturing run to cover the holiday season. Orders through September 29th look to be covered. Trucks, Jeeps and Durangos we have inventory.

Changes to Payment Terms

Now, unfortunately, we have to talk about Payments. You know we have said it many times in these updates, if you are in need of us helping you by holding parts we can, and will.  Just communicate with us it’s a two way street.

The Info is Everywhere

As you know, and are emailed when you place an order with a credit card, that we have taken your 30% deposit to begin work. On your invoice copy is the “Help / FAQ” section at the top with all those useful links that can also be found in the bottom footer of our website.

Team BT wants total transparency with you all the way, and that includes the “Thank You Page” if you order online. The Thank You Page has all those links there too. Those links are there for you to stay informed.

Declined Cards

Over the past several weeks we have had a pretty large percentage of declined cards when it came time to reauthorize the credit cards, and collect the balance. Again our team totally understands you may be effected by Covid, and all the other issues that have gone hand in hand with this year. Help us, help you, and please return our calls, and emails if we notify you. It’s all we ask.

New Policy

In order to protect our investment into the orders, we are changing our policy starting November 1st. If your card is declined, and if we do not hear back from you within 7 days of calling you, and then sending the follow up email, we will cancel your order. The 30% deposit will not be refundable.

We will be updating our Payment Terms to reflect this new policy.

Help us, help you is all we are asking. We get it family, we do. We are here to work with you any way possible. We have all been in tight spots and we get it.
