Manufacturing Update August 23, 2018

Good afternoon everyone and welcome. As always, we offer our sincerest thanks for your support, most importantly your trust, and for taking the time to read these updates. There’s a lot to cover so let’s dive right on in and get started.

Catch Cans

We are rolling on catch cans folks and we have shipped a lot of product in the past two and a half weeks. We are back in continual run again and will remain so. As we discussed in the last update we are sending cans in batches of about 50-100 at a time in each color to ensure quality remains high. Quality over quantity every single time.

Satin Cans

All Satin cans through August 3rd are shipped or in shipping now and your tracking number if you have not received it yet you will in the next couple of days. All satin catch cans from August 3rd to August 13th will be shipping in 7-10 days. We have plenty of cans completed now again and we are catching everything up to the cans including mounting hardware and brackets with all those secondary operations completing now to time in with the production of product.

Don’t See Your Order Yet?

If you do not see your color can in today’s batch,  please do not worry. We have a high volume of cans, and many batches will be off to color in the next week, and the week after that. If you need your product immediately please reach out to us (email or phone: 561.582.6171) so we can move you into the expedited queue. Team BT will do our very best to get you handled (usually 10 day turn around or sooner).

Colors Currently at Plate/Powder Coat

The following colors are out at plate right now from prior updates:

• Titanium from August 14th:
  is being dipped as we type this update and that will be back first within the next couple of days. Many of you guys and gals have had that finish out for sometime and those who have requests in to please hurry we are pulling your parts our first to complete them first
• Matte Black from August 14th
• Blue and Matte Blue from August 15th
• Matte Red from August 15th
• Green from August 17th

Lots and Lots of Colors

As we have reported on all month we will be sending a steady flow of all colors out to plate and powder coat several times per week so please stay tuned, we have not forgotten you.  As we have stated before we do not want to overwhelm our exceptional supplier partners who adhere to the minds when it comes to quality and simply put its quality over quantity every single time. 

New Red Coming Soon!

On the color news front Team BT hopes to reveal a new red hopefully before Labor Day Break. If not before Labor Day, then shortly thereafter. We have a sample batch out right now, you all will love it. For those who are not a big fan of the anodized red we currently offer, which is more “inferno red”, this shade will probably be right up your alley.  Pictures are worth a thousand words, so as soon as we have the samples back, we will post those up. We look forward to hearing your feedback, then we’ll start taking orders.

Restocked Products

We have restocked a bunch of product again after the tornado in late June took out two of our CNC’s causing extensive down time. The electronics got fried on one of our milling centers as well as the turning center we use to produce catch cans. We will have all products up to date stock status wise on the website by close of business tomorrow but right now here is where we stand:

• 6.1 Oil Caps & Sigma Series Oil Caps:
  Manufactured and in satin machine finish on the shelf waiting for engravings or colors
• 3MM Hub-Centric Spacers:
  Manufactured nd shipping again.
• Sigma Series Radiator Caps:
  Manufactured and in satin machine finish on the shelf waiting for engravings or colors.
• Oil Dipsticks (all styles):
  Manufactured and on the shelf in satin machine finish
• Power Steering Caps:
  Manufactured and on the shelf in satin machine finish.
• The final sets of valve covers:
  Wrapping up manufacturing and are beginning to go to color now.

Out of Stock/Low Stock Items

The following Items we are out of stock on or have very low stock on that we just depleted this week. There are other items as well but we covered those in the last couple of updates, so please refer back or check the individual product page you are interested in for details. When in doubt always email or call (561.582.6171).

• “Devo” Style Strut Covers:
  Very, very low stock.
• Jeep Catch Can Mounts:
  Out of stock but manufacturing now little to no impact on shipping cans.
• 2.5” Brake Fluid Caps:
  We have very low stock on those and will be machining the next batch again right after Labor Day.
• 2013+ Throttle Body Covers & Hellcat/Demon Bypass Valve Cover:
  We sold out this week. We have material coming in next Wednesday and should be machining again by the end of the week with satin machine finish ready to go out again right after Labor Day.
• Hellcat/Demon Water Necks:
  We have very low stock. Next MFG Run early September
• 5.7, 6.1, and 392 Water Necks (Jeeps included):
  We have low stock (not critical low but low) and will be making another manufacturing run in mid September again. We do expect to run out prior to the next manufacturing run this is just a heads up for everyone.

The Mazak is Ordered!

Finally we are very excited to announce Billet Technology will be taking delivery of another Mazak turning center in early October. This machine will be used primarily to produce our catch cans. At 1200 units a month being built, we simply are tapped out. The demand for this product is outstripping what we can produce. We signed a purchase agreement two weeks ago, and the machine is being built now with an ETA to be delivered in early October possibly late September. We have dragged our feet about spending the dollars but the time was right. We are tired of having clones and knock off substandard product out there when we actually make it ourselves.  This will put two turning centers on line at all times producing our catch can.  

BT Catch Can

Team BT values our customers and we respect original competition, not blatant theft right on down to the actual appearance or as some companies do, make cosmetic changes yet its the internals of the can that make it work (the two chambered top). This new piece of equipment will help eliminate the stress of not having adequate stock on the shelf of our signature piece in our lineup.

Team BT created the first true turn key catch can for the Modern Hemi platform, and for the modern Mopar Market in general a dozen years ago. It would have been real easy to copy someone else’s design, but we didn’t. We worked with our customer base hand in hand, back in the old forum days, to give you something that not only looked great (as you expect from us) but functioned well.

This now iconic, simple design is elegant, and not over-engineered its meant to work for the daily driver as much as for the racer.  That product became the Billet Technology Catch Can and its been our number one seller year in and out for over a decade. We owe you, our customers, all the thanks for that. This piece of equipment will keep the BT Catch Can in production, in even higher volumes, for years to come.
