Manufacturing Update August 3, 2018

Good afternoon everyone and as always our sincerest thanks for all the support and trust you place in our team. Its hard to believe its already August. It just seems like the New Year was just yesterday things move so quickly. Because of your support by early June of this year we’d already surpassed 2017’s numbers. Simply Incredible! “Thank you” never seems enough.

Website Stock Statues | Summer Lead Time

As of today stock statuses are 100% up to date on each product in the “Availability” area of the product’s page (next to the price). We are in extended summer lead-time still so please be sure to view the lead-time link located at the footer of the site to learn more. If you need something quicker reach out to us so we can work towards your schedule.

Back in Black (and Blue)

We did receive the blue, matte blue and standard black back a few days ago, we apologize for not getting you an update Wednesday or Thursday. We have been jammed slammed with most of us multi-tasking as always. As we have mentioned, Billet Technology is a small crew of 9, and when its crunch time sometimes we have to push the updates back a couple days. This was one of those times.

Lathe & Catch Can Update

As we reported last week, and again Monday, our dedicated lathe for catch cans is up and running. The crew is working tons of overtime to get the back ordered satin cans out the door, as well as new batches for color up to plate. To recap: we had catch can tops, but no bottoms. Currently bottoms are coming off the machine, and we have swung back over to making more tops for new orders.

Satin Can Shipping ETA

Team BT will be ready to ship all versions of our satin cans by Tuesday, as all secondary op’s have been run. Once we have a handle of how many units we will be getting out a day by the middle of next week, we will post a new satin catch can table up with an ETA to ship. Folks who have ordered a satin catch can from us in the last 10 days should be within the two week lead time for shipping.

If you have a satin can on order and you need us to expedite it to you PLEASE CALL US (561.582.6171) we will get that taken care of.

Color Cans

Folks with color catch cans that have not seen their product go out as of yet, be ready. Starting next week, and continuing over the next several weeks, cans for various colors and polish will be going out for those processes. You can expect us to be launching quite a few updates this month with order product tables and their respective finishes.

TL;DR? Just Call

If you just don’t want to read through everything and want to talk to us on the phone do call in. Thats what we are here for to not only give you an amazing product you will be proud of, but to be there to talk to you and support your purchase before, during and after the sale. Remember as stated above with 9 of us here wearing many hats sometimes you may get the voice mail leave those call back digits so we can return your call. Coolant Tank Covers: G3

Finally the wait is over for the coolant tank covers! All satin coolant cover orders from oldest to newest will star to ship next week. We have received a flood of new business since we showed off the Gen 3 redesign on Instagram this week. The good news?  You will love it! The bad news?  We now have more orders than material. The good news?   We will be ordering more material Monday to take care of those new orders as well as have product on the shelf moving forward. The bad news? Once we run out the material we have here we have to cut into that job to put something else in but the lag between will only be about 10-15 days then the coolant covers will go right back on.

Lead Time

Current satin covers (without custom engravings) will ship this month, while new orders could ship this month, it’s very possible they wouldn’t ship until early September. Colors will begin to go to plate, polish and powder coat late next week. Be sure to keep your eyes on our updates to see when your order goes to color.

Gen 3 Details

A little bit about the 3rd generation redesign and this is the design moving forward:

• Machined from solid domestic certified 6061-T6 material. Certs on file and delivered with each material shipment.
• Covers fit 2011 Dodge Charger, Challenger and Chrysler 300.
• NO HOOD CLOSING ISSUES.
• Covers can be left on permanently on all Shaker Hoods, T/A’s, and Demon vehicles with the factory “Air Grabber” cold air intake.
• Team BT achieved 40% weight reduction on this piece over prior production runs on this product. This was possible by taking material out when 3D machining the the downward gradient into the piece to ensure your hood closes, as well as taking out material on the lower right hand lip and side walls so that the cover works on the Demon and T/A’s and can remain on the car and not just placed on as a show piece.
• As a result of the total re-engineering of the product, we have produced for you a visually stunning and modern looking design that will be a true show piece to complete your ride.

Hood Fitment Details

Team BT 3d modeled and 3d machined this piece and has had this piece on T/A’s and Shaker Hood vehicles as well as the Demon with absolutely zero clearance issues. The hood closes flush the factory cold air intake unobstructed. Each piece has a smooth angled transitional machine cut creating a clean and visually appealing part where eye flow remains uninterrupted. Lets call it BT ”Feng Shui.” Absolutely no surface finish obstructions whatsoever leaving all that real estate open on the top of the cover to create the vision you would like be it a simple designer cut (machine chamfer around the edges of the part) or if you want to go all out and be as creative we have you covered on the custom engraving.

Lead Time for Final Processes

Remember if you see your order has come back in please allow 7-15 days for us to complete any final processes or assemblies prior to shipping. If you feel this will interfere with a show you will be attending or the local cruise in just reach out to us so we can work to meet your time frame. Phones are live M-F 6:00 A.M until 3:30 P.M. EST visitors welcome until 4:30 P.M., chips flying until 9:00 P.M. EST, emails answered as quickly as possible (auto-responder attached after each email sent).
