MFG Update January 26th, 2018

Good afternoon family, and thank you always for the support and trust you show in our team. We are deep in to January, deep into replenishing inventory and have a lot to cover today so let’s get started.

Finishes

We have received all matte red and matte black as of today’s update. Standard black was being racked and ready for dipping today that is out now and we also will be getting purple, titanium, orange and standard red back early next week that have gone out and been on the updates all this month.

We will be putting up one more update before the end of the month a supplemental when the above come back Monday or Tuesday, and we start to send the next wave of parts out for plating. If you have been paying attention to the updates you see the number of orders that have gone out for plating, powder coating or polish. We have just as many if not more that will be going in the next rounds starting again next week.

Many of those orders are January business and all backordered items (such as fuse boxes, coolant tank covers, throttle body cover and Hellcat Bypass covers), as well as under hood caps and covers that we ran out of that we did not get plated on these rounds of colors.

Partial Shipments

Please be assured we are not holding any of your pieces back. If we have partial shipments ready to go we are shipping you what we have. As the pieces come back from finish and we get them engraved, they are being wrapped and shipped. As we have stated to you many times and in the various links at the footer of our site here, we want you to have your parts as quickly as possible without compromising quality. We are grateful for your business and support always.

Production Schedule

As we let you know at the beginning of the month we would be working at replenishing stock and getting all Encore business that was non holiday requested wrapped up, as well as any December and January business to be on Lead-times. We are pleased to say we have worked hard, and are on schedule. For more information please see the January 3rd update, which listed the products we produce and an ETA to MFG schedule.

All backorders are manufactured and we are continuing to replenish and put machined satin blanks on the shelf to fill your orders to your specifications as we move closer towards the springtime months.

Popular Parts Stock/Production Updates

January has been a record breaker here too for new business and we are keeping pace. Below will breakdown some of our most popular items and those items that many of you are waiting for in colors or polish and let you know what’s up there:

Coolant Tank Covers

Coolant Tank Covers are running right now. This was and continues to be a huge hit with you guys and gals. We have so many we need to produce (over 300 units all finishes) that we are breaking the manufacturing run in to two “lots.” The first lot that is running currently is covering all back orders from The Encore Event and business through early January. The second lot of material that is coming in the by February 15th will cover all business from mid January orders and will be the run that we put that product back on the shelf in machine satin for new business moving forward. We have made the design change that will take care of the issues with some of our customers not being able to close the hoods of their cars. Please refer to the January 3rd update regarding that issue and “acceptable tolerances.”

Fuse Box Covers

Fuse box covers have been manufactured. Anyone that had a satin machine finish cover and we did not ship to you we are starting to ship them now. All color and polish back orders we will begin to send those covers off to plate next week. If you have been following along with the updates and you have multiple parts on your order we have been letting you know in the comments section what needs to be manufactured. Fuse boxes were one such product.

Under Hood Caps

Under hood caps including sigma series style we are replenished and have product for any back orders and have inventory moving forward. Since we do move a lot of under hood pieces and actual kits here we will continue to run these items as needed to ensure we keep blanks in machine satin on the shelf and keep within the 20 business day lead-time on colors and polish.

2005-2007 Shift Inserts

2005-2007 shift inserts are manufactured and back on the shelf in machine satin. All back orders that need to be plated (color) will be going out in the next week so keep an eye on the MFG Updates.

Door Lock kits

Door lock kits (pins and bezels) are in manufacturing. Satin delivery will start within the week colors and polish all back orders will be filled in February with inventory moving forward on the shelf.

Fuel Door Inserts

Fuel Door inserts have been anodized black we had only blanks on hand prior in machine satin. We will do custom colors by request however, black is the biggest seller for these.

Throttle body & Hellcat Bypass Valve Covers

Throttle body cover and Hellcat Bypass valve covers are manufactured. Machine satin back orders have started to ship and or shipped. All colors and polished product on those items will start to go out for finish next week.

Hellcat Water Necks

Hellcat Thermostat Housings aka water necks we have had to push back the material to the first week of February. Those of you with an order on the MFG Updates that went for finish you are unaffected and will be shipping when the product comes back from finish (please check in on the prior updates). Satin machine finish back orders on these will begin to ship the middle of February with colors and polish end of February.

Uni-Strut Covers

Uni-Strut Covers we also have had to push back the material to the first week of February. Back orders in satin machine finish will start to ship the middle of February with colors and polish late February.

Hellcat Supercharger Coolant Tank Cover

The HC Supercharger coolant tank cover we are out of stock on those now and will be making another run in mid February with shipments to start again in late February.

392 PCV Covers & Caps

392 PCV Covers and the PCV Cap are moving very steadily again especially with the introduction of the cap to go with the cover. We are ordering material next week to start another run of each in order that we stay ahead of demand.

Jeep & Ram Fuse Box Covers

Jeep and Ram Fuse box covers we are sold out. All orders through January 12th are covered. We will be running this the third week of February.

Catch Cans

As always catch cans are continually on the machine including brackets and supporting hardware. Satins we are doing our best to stay within the two week ship time from order or sooner, colors we should remain on the 20 business day lead-time with these.

Coil Pack Coveres

Coil Pack Covers we are getting low on those. Will be making another run in late February to coincide with the valve cover run we will be doing in late March.

Valve Covers 2018

Valve Covers are sold out now.

Last spring we ran enough sets based on a pretty good educated guess (sales from prior years) to keep the product on the shelf in machine satin and ready to ship for all of 2017. Colors and polish stayed pretty much within the 20 business day lead-time with the exception of September and October when Hurricane Irma impacted us and our supplier base.

Team BT will be following that same plan again this year, and running sufficient stock to last us for 2018. We will be starting to get our material quotes within the next two weeks and begin ordering drops in late February so that we can allow for those drops to come in and we can start making chips in mid to late March. As we get closer we have a waiting list already here and will contact those on it once material is ordered so we can firm your specifications and help schedule any build dates you will need to do as ideally these are best installed when the engine is out of the car.

Please keep checking in to our updates here for details as we move closer into the time frames stated here. If or any reason we must push or move back will let you know as soon as possible but once material is ordered we do our best (barring any machine down times or emergencies) to stay on schedule. A help us help you comes to mind here as well need them a certain time let us know and will work with you to make it happen.

Lead-times | Order of Operations

Speaking of leadtime, as you have seen (and will continue to see) from the high volume of orders that go out to finishes on the MFG Updates, we are very busy. Once we send our parts out for finishes, the timeline is out of our control. We value our relationships with our partners here and we do not rush them. We will get them back when our suppliers are finished doing what they need to do to bring you the best product in the aftermarket period!

If someone needs something quickly we will of course work with you and work with our supplier partners to get something done quickly. Help us help you by communicating that to us and most important by reading our updates.

Finally when your item(s) come back in from finish please allow us up to two weeks to complete them and get them shipped to you. Completion will be any assembly required or engravings that need to be finished. Have a must need by day and your items are here? Email or call us so we can move you up into the expedited Queue.. There is no cost for you to do this but please don’t ask to skip in front of your fellow enthusiasts unless you really need to do that. We do proceed by order number and order of receipt unless someone specifically has a need by or expedited request.

Lead-times for Satin Finish

If you order any product in satin machine finish we have inventory on most everything, with the exception of the items listed above that we are out of. This means your parts will be pulled from stock and routed to the shop for engraving. Will get back to getting up a waiting for engraving table on the update we post Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
