Manufacturing Update September 5th, 2017

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the first Manufacturing Update for September 2017.  September!  It just seems as if we were saying Happy New Year and welcoming January.

First and always we want to thank each of you for a tremendous summer, and for that matter the entire year. It’s been record breaking, and if you have been watching the MFG Updates you can get an idea just on the color and polish volume alone. Because we keep satin blanks on the shelf and list our lead-times on those items they usually don’t make the updates.  Needless to say we are humbled and grateful for your trust and support.  

Hurricane Irma

We had planned a different MFG Update today listing a bunch of items going out but we are holding sending any more products out for finish until we see Hurricane Irma has passed. We did send some powder coat out late last week on the 30th to get done up as we grouped some single orders in with some blanket purchase orders we have with one of our dealers to get a lot run in on more yellow and white.  We also sent a round of polish out and that is reflective on this update today and also has come back in.  

Parts Storage During Irma

As stated we have elected to keep any outside services here in the facility until the current threat from Irma has passed for one reason our facility is a solid concrete and steel building including our roof which is solid concrete beams.  Our service doors are Hurricane rated to take sustained winds of 160 MPH.  Therefore, the finished BT products are better off right here rather than sending them out for any processes today or tomorrow (and we have a lot of your order ready to go to colors please be patient).

In the meantime we have a bunch of purple, titanium, satin machine finish and blue in the pipe we are assembling and getting completed to ship.  We will be getting out as much as possible between now and tomorrow afternoon.

Hurricane Schedule

Here is what to expect in the coming days here at the facility.

• We will continue to monitor Hurricane Irma.  If the track remains as projected and the Hurricane remains at a Category 5 as it stands now, or goes to a 4 or high end 3 by tomorrow at 2:00 P.M. EST here at our facility we will be closing the shop until the hurricane passes. This will allow our crew to secure their homes and evacuate out of the area to a safer location if they choose to do so.  Family and safety will always be the number one priority here at Team BT and we always extend that to our customers too and we are here for you in times of great need.  If any of our local customers needs anything please do not hesitate to reach out to us also.  
• If we do close the facility tomorrow afternoon, we will return as quickly as possible and resume operations as quickly as we can.  Please be mindful there may indeed be an interruption in production and shipping.  We will start to ship stock items as soon as we can after the storm has passed.  If you receive the voice mail please do leave a clear and detailed message we will call you back as quickly as possible.  Please continue to email us.  We will answer all emails as quickly as possible and expect to resume a smooth flow of communication with you regardless early next week including emails.  
• We operate two servers.  Each server is out of Florida and your ability to view the website and reach out to us will not be affected we expect no down time on the website or your ability to hit the contact us pages on the website to reach out to us.  Your information remains secured to the highest SSL Standards for shopping sites.  
• We will continue to keep everyone up to date via social media channels and right here at our website so please check back in.  Communication is always a high priority for us as it relates to your experience here with us.  We want that to remain as smooth as possible.  Even in the most trying of times Team BT has always taken communicate with you as the most critical factory in building a relationship with you even above the buying experience as many of our clients have become very good friends to us over the years.  Trust is delicate we understand this.  

Inventory

We are in very good shape inventory wise with the exception of the classic BT style low and high pressure a/c port cap and the round old school shifter balls.  We will start making those this month.
