Manufacturing Update August 22, 2024

Good afternoon everyone.

As always we start by saying a sincere thank you for your support. We appreciate you continuing to shop with us during these times.

It’s been a hot minute since we updated you guys and gals, so let’s get up to speed.

Inventory Statuses

Under Hood Kits

We are in good shape on caps classic BT Style (oil cap, radiator cap, dipstick, low and high pressure a/c port cap covers, transmission cap cover, power steering cap and reservoir cover). The only caps we are out of stock on are the 05-07 washer caps, and the 6.1L oil cap. We will make another manufacturing run on those items in late September. We may retire those to the BT Vault. We will have to see after we restock. We will make enough to carry us through the end of the year.

Supercharged Water Necks

Water necks (thermostat housings) for the Trackhawk, Durano Hellcat, TRX Ram as well as the Dodge Charger and Challenger we sold out last weekend. The next manufacturing run of these will also be in late September

N.A. Water Necks

We are in good shape on the 5.7L, 6.1L, and 6.4L waternecks and are shipping satin machine finishes from stock in 1-2 business days. Colors we are right around lead-time on black, red, blue and clear. Orange, purple and matte finishes we are running a couple weeks behind lead-times.

Throttle Body Covers

Throttle body covers are replenished again and we are shipping all years in satin machine finish in about two weeks if you chose to engrave. No engraving 1-2 business days to ship from stock.

Strut Covers

Strut covers (both uni-strut and devo style covers) are on the shelf ready to ship in satin finish. Colors per lead-time.

Coil Pack Covers

We have been shipping satin machine finishes engraved right around the 15 day mark. We also started shipping colors, and we have inventory on the shelf.

PCV Covers

These will go on the machine for manufacturing sometime toward the end of September. We ran a quick run to get some back orders filled and will be making the rest of the back orders next month with inventory on the shelf to ship.

Catch Cans

Satin machine finished catch cans all styles are shipping in 1-3 business days. Colors per lead-time.

Power Seat Covers

We have started to ship back orders in satin machine finishes. Colors have started to go out for final process. Many are in the tables below.

Fuse Box Covers

Fuse box covers, with the exception of the 2009-2012 cars, we have plenty of satin machine finished covers on the shelf and we are shipping within lead-time. We have inventory for Trucks and Jeeps 14-19 on the shelf in satin machine finish. 20 and up Trucks and Jeeps we are currently out of stock and will make one final run of those in late September.

Coolant Tank Covers

Coolant tank covers are shipping in 1-2 business days in satin machine finish un-engraved. Colors per lead-time. We have plenty of stock on those too.

Factory Color Match

Friends as you are aware we have had a real issue with paint match and peeling. We pulled most of the factory color match off the site for this issue.

Now for some good news on that! Our powder coater has matched Octane Red, Sublime, B5 Blue and Plum Crazy. Plum Crazy is out now and will be back to us next week. Octane Red is also out and will be back right after labor day. Sublime will be going to powder coating late next week.

For many of you its been a long haul. Our focus is getting you your parts and free of paint or finish defects where the pieces last for the lifetime of your ride as our anodize and other powder coated finishes do. Once we feel confident we can actually bring these colors back we will do so.

Other Colors

Since our last update we have sent out batches of Clear (Standard & Matte), Standard Black, and Red to anodize. All of these batches have returned to the shop and are in final processes. Supply Chain Issues

If you have been paying attention over the past couple years you know supply chain issues have been a huge problem, material shortages, skyrocketing prices on everything, inability to find workers etc.

For us here at BT its been the supply chain and inability to get certain parts, tooling, or long delays. Electronics for repairs is one such issue. We still are having problems on our Nexus but are managing.

We have kept prices pretty much on point without major price increases. The thing that has suffered is lead-times especially on the colors. Our team appreciates that you are willing to wait. We are a small family owned business not Amazon or the big box resellers.

When we cannot get something its snowball effect. Always know we are working hard for you and again we thank you for staying with us. The most challenging times always bring the best daybreaks when things pass.

Anolayze is Shutting Down

Finally over the course of these challenges we got word from our primary anodizer that he is shutting down in just couple short weeks now. This was sad news for us as we have worked with the good folks at Anolayze for nearly two decades.

We have been able to source the anodize to two other local south Florida companies to keep it near to us, and that includes the matte finishes. The samples are spot on and we will be sending several huge batches of matte red, matte orange, matte purple and matte blue out right after Labor Day to clear off all the back orders there.

BT is Moving!

Team BT is relocating to a new facility in September! We are excited to share our new space with you in the coming weeks. We may loose a week to 10 days of machine production time in early September but we will be shipping and engraving as we get parts back in from finishes. Full production should resume in mid September.

We have built product out ahead of our move to have as little interruption as possible as far as engraving and still sending parts to finishes. Satin machine finished catch cans will continue to ship in 1-3 business days and colors on lead-time.

New Payment Methods

Finally we have added Link via Stripe Payments (which allows you to pay multiple ways including ApplePay). We also added Affirm Afterpay and Klarna as our customers continually ask about these options, they already have established accounts with those companies and want to pay out over time.
