Manufacturing Update July 31, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to the very last update for July 2020 on this 31st day of the month. As we move into the second month of the third quarter our crew remains humbled, and thankful for you support, for your trust, and for allowing us to be part of your ownership experiences.

2020, What a Year

What a year so far it has been, but you, our most important asset, our customers have not missed a beat. Your notes of encouragement, calls, text messages, and in general just overall love you have shown us it’s been absolutely incredible. From the almost weekly care packages to our staff, and in general so much goodwill, thank you often times does not seem enough.

BT is Here for You

Remember if you need to just chit chat with someone you have friends here at BT. Just pickup the phone and give us a call. We are all in this together, and as we said back in March, we will be here during the Covid19 Pandemic, and come out on the other side of it with all of you.

Colors In

Today’s update will be brief. Below you will find that the yellow, white, and lime green metallic powder coat has come back in, as well as the clear and matte clear anodize. We have started to sort the orders on these finishes routing catch cans into assembly, and getting the under hood pieces that require any type of engravings into the shop so we can finish them up.

Matte Red Went Out

We have also sent a round of matte red up to be finished. We should see that batch back in about 7-10 days, along with the big batch of standard red that we sent up for plating on Wednesday.

We appreciate your patience, and as we mentioned in the last update, all of us including our amazing vendor partners are being effected by the Covid19 Pandemic. Our vendor partners have done incredible work these past five months, and we cannot thank them enough.

Satin Catch Cans

Satin catch cans continue to ship within 3-5 business days or sooner from order date. All cans through July 29th in satin machine finish have shipped or are in out for shipping today.

Catch Cans from July 30th through today are coming out of assembly, and into the shipping queue now and will ship Monday (weather permitting see below). Satin cans purchased over the weekend will ship out no later than Tuesday (weather permitting).

Placing your order over the phone, and need same day (orders by 1:00 P.M. EST), or next business day shipment please let the friendly BT staff member know who is helping you with your order know this so it can be quickly taken care of.

Stock Updates

Devo Strut Covers

Devo style strut covers are running now, and we will have satin machine finished sets starting to ship next week.

Colors will start to go out later next week, and all through the month of August to fill back orders. We will be fully replenished inventory wise once this production run is completed.

Hood Shock Covers

Hood shock covers (hood prop covers) will be going on next sometime during the second week of August.

Coolant Tank Covers

The big coolant tank cover material has been ordered, and we will have material in house late the second week of August. We will begin our next production run shortly after receipt of the material. Thank you guys.

We had to finish up the valve covers, and we have a couple jobs to run on that middle machine where they were wrapping up. Then the coolant tanks will be going on for their production run.

Hurricane Isaias

Friends today we are stopping production on the shop floor at 1:30 P.M. Eastern Time, so we can secure our facility, just to be cautious. Our area is now under a Hurricane Watch, as Hurricane Isaias starts to approach our eastern coast this weekend.

We will closely monitor the storm over the weekend. As many know this is not our first rodeo, and our building is built like a bomb shelter, and even in the most severe storms the facility will stand.

We have category five rated hurricane service bay doors, and our building is solid concrete, and steal beam including the roof.

Our only issue may be power. Will keep you posted over the weekend on our social media channels, and will include any important bulletins on the front pages of the website here as necessary.

Our plan is to return to the shop to resume normal business operations at 5:00 A.M., Monday August 3rd. Thank you all for your understanding, and most importantly patience if its needed early next week.

We are limiting visitors to two per party visit. Please have a mask when coming to visit for your safety, and ours. No working out of our home garage claiming to have moved to a larger location as some of our “competitors” have lied to you about over the past year and a half.  

Team BT has been at the same location since 1997, and been in business since 1975. Speaking of growing however, we should have some exciting news late next week as we are in final negotiations for more improvements as you all continue to support our endeavors to bring you the best product in the market place.
