Manufacturing Update October 14, 2021

Good afternoon BT family. We are back with a fresh update for you guys and gals. We did not get our weekly update posted last week as mentioned in our October 1st Update, as members of the BT Crew were in Houston Texas last week for Lone Star Moparfest.

High Volume = Long Hours

The shop never missed a beat. We have stayed super busy, working hard to get the piles and piles of parts in the engrave queue, catch can assembly queue, and packaging area out the door to you.

We are seeing some bottlenecks and back jams in engraving on our shop floor due to the extremely high volume of orders coming in. The team is extremely grateful to you all. The shop is operating 18 hours a day. We can assure all of you that we are working as quickly as possible to produce what you expect from us: the highest quality aftermarket parts, period.

Below is what you can expect for status changes and turnaround times for various finishes.

Satin machine finished pieces that are in stock, which need engraving will usually ship within 20 days, or sooner.

Anodized and powder coated color batches are coming back in from our vender partners at a much quicker time frame. If you see your order as back in from color, allow us the top end of the 15 business day lead time to wrap up and get your packages shipped to you.

Color matched parts are taking a bit longer than normal due to the irregularities, and delays of the shipping companies. This is out of our control, tho we are doing everything we can to consolidate the batches and be as efficient as possible.

Statuses
If you see your order is in “pending to ship” status we have charged you out on the balance due, as the items are wrapping up final processes (such as engraving or assembly).

Allow 3-5 days from “pending status” to “ready to ship” status just on the volume of orders and pieces we are completing at this time.

When your order has moved to “ready to ship” status expect tracking details to be added to your order, and and an order completed email sent to your inbox with 1-2 days.

Satin Machine Finish Catch Cans

All satin catch cans are shipping within 3-7 business days.

Need us to ship your satin can the next business day after placing your order?
Just let us know in the order comments section when checking out. If you are ordering over the phone, let the friendly BT rep know you need us to ship it to you immediately, and will get it handled for you.  All satin cans ordered through October 12th have cleared assembly and are in package right now. 

Stock Statuses

Folks all inventory is up to date on the products in the online store. You can see the “availability” of each product next to the unit price on the product’s page.

“Inventory on hand” means just that. Long timers know we keep all our parts in machine satin blanks (no engraves) and send them out in batches for color or if ordered in machine satin we pick them from our stock room and release into the shop for engraving.

Out of Stock | Low Stock Items

Speaking of inventory, below are out of stock, and low stock items, as well as ETA for manufacturing runs:

6.1 Style Oil Caps

We have one back order only. We will make another small run later this month to fill that order and have inventory for the holiday season.

ABS Covers

ABS Covers are on the machine and running.

Track Hawk and TRX Super Charger Coolant Reservoir Covers

These are on the machine and shipping will start this month. We will have inventory on hand for the upcoming holiday season.

3MM Spacers

Yes, we have been out of these for a hot minute. To quote Spock from Star Trek “The needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few”. We have a few back orders presently, and have pushed these out to the end of this month. The clients waiting on their sets have been spoken to on an individual basis, and are winter changes overs etc so the rush was not great for them.

Just be mindful we won’t be shipping these the next business day from ordering. We will get them on a machinge prior to the end of the month, and have stock to carry us into 2022 when we make this upcoming run.

Hellcat / Demon Water necks

We will be wrapping them up this month, starting to ship at the end of the month. Inventory will be on the shelf for the holiday season.

Ram, Durango and Jeep Fuse Box Covers

We have material and will be putting them on to manufacture the week of October 25th.

Uni-Strut Covers

We have had to push getting those on a machine until late the week of October 23rd. If we can get them in sooner we will.

Coolant Tank Covers

We will be running these before the end of the month to fill back business, and have stock for the upcoming holiday season.

Colors Back

The batches of yellow, white, clear, polish, matte red and matte black have come back in. You can find the orders in those batches in the tables below. Please allow 10-15 business days for final processes.

Colors Out

We sent batches of matte red, standard black and standard red anodize out since we last visited with you. Those batches will be back here in the next couple of days. You will find them on the tables below. Once those come back in we will have the next round of standard red and black out next week.

Colors Still Out

We are still waiting on the following finishes to come back in to us from colors:

• Matte Red -(went out on 10.08 see table below as out)
• Black Anodize – (went out on 10.11 see table below as out)

  – (in transit back to us know Nick and Alex made personal contact with all open orders this past week)

Color Batches On Deck

We will be sending the following finishes out next:

• Blue and Matte Blue anodize are going to plate on 10.15.21
• Purple and Matte Purple anodize are going to plate on 10.15.21
• F8 Green is going to paint either October 20th or October 21st.

Folks in closing, our team thanks you! 2021 has been as busy, if not busier than last year, when we had a record setting year. As we move through essentially the second full year of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are adapting and making changes to our operations when we, or our vender partners, run in to supply chain issues, labor issues (employees down with Covid), etc.  

Some hardware is in short supply and we have resorted to having to make some of our screws, bolts nuts etc, materials are being rationed, and yes, our suppliers especially, our one painting partner out in California is running into all kinds of logistics headaches. Be it keeping (or getting help), materials, restrictions, local “mandates”, etc.

We are proud to work with talented companies who help enhance the look of our manufactured pieces. We will stand with our fellow vendors who are small business owners themselves as we work together to get through the rough spots.

Yes, it has always taken some time to get our products, this has never been a secret. Please bear in mind, we are all working hard, here at the shop, and our vendor partners equally so, to get your products to you as soon as possible.
