Manufacturing Update August 6, 2021

Good afternoon everybody. Welcome to Friday, welcome to our Friday MFG Update posting, and welcome to August 2021. 7 months down and entering month 8 of this year and it’s been a blur. Non stop from the day we returned from our New Year’s break way back on January 4th, and all the days and weeks in between.

We have the absolute best customers in the industry, The BT Nation, and we cannot thank you all enough for the incredible love and support you continue to show our team. We will remain forever humbled, and grateful, to all of you.

Let’s dive in and get you guys and gals up to speed on what’s shaking here at the facility.

Facebook Mid Week Update Overview

If you follow along on our social media you may have seen us put up a “mid week” mini update over on Facebook. Some of the important take aways from that posting are below:

Red, Black, Orange & Satin Catch Cans

We moved a whole bunch of black, red, orange and satin catch cans to “pending to ship” status on your open orders this week. We have 93 stand alone orders waiting to go in those finishes and they are together. We have been waiting on black and nickel fittings and the good news we received both batches back today.

Nickel & Black Fittings

Our nickel fittings should have already been back two weeks ago, however our nickel plating partner had a covid outbreak in their shop. They just restarted operations on Wednesday. These are very good people, and we are so glad to know they have recovered, and are back working.

Our batch of nickel fittings arrived via UPS this morning. We have started to install the fittings in those cans. Look for them to be shipped out to you next week.

Same with the black fittings. Alex picked those up from powder coating this afternoon.

If you see your order is in “pending to ship”, or has moved to “ready to ship” status, check your email boxes starting Monday. Emails with your tracking details will continue to go out through Tuesday, and into Wednesday of next week. Questions or concerns give us a call (561.582.6171).

Satin Machine Finish Catch Cans

Standard satin machine finished catch cans are shipping out around 10 business days from the day you order. It’s insane how many of these we are moving a week, especially in light of how many other companies offer either a direct knock of the BT can, or a similar product to ours. Thank you for that family.

We have several dealers worldwide who handle this product as well. So we are constantly building, and assembling machine satin catch cans as well as sending batches of colors out each week.

If you need us to ship your satin machine finished can the next business day after you place your order, and you are ordering online, just make a note in the comments section and we will get that handled for you. Placing your order with a friendly BT rep over the phone? Let us know that while we are chatting with you, placing your order, and we will get that handled for you.

Coolant Tank Covers

Satin machine finish coolant tank covers are off the machine on this production batch, and for those that do not have any engraving they have started shipping this week.

Matte black, orange, standard red, as well as purple and matte purple coolant tank covers some some went to finish today and will be on the tables below.

We have inventory again in machine satin and can do any color you wish on new biz. Custom engravings, reach out if you want to do that. We will continue to send colors and polish out on open business all this month.

Colors In & Colors Out

This week we received the batches of Purple, Matte Purple, Blue and Matte Blue Anodize back in from plating. Please allow us at 10-15 business days to complete any final processes such as engraving, assembly, QC inspection, packaging and shipping.

The team sent quite a few batches out for color: Matte Black, Purple, Matte Purple, Standard Red, B5 Blue and a batch of Coolant Tank Covers to Orange Anodize. Please check the tables below this article for more information.

Batches Still Out for Color

Folks the following finishes are still out:

• Plum Purple Powder Coat
• White Powder Coat
• Jazz Blue
• Octane Red
  – This batch will definitely be back next week. The good people at Creative Custom Finishing out in California are on top of that and it will look fantastic when we get it back in. That batch will have top priority here as it’s the oldest, so be patient a bit longer, it will be so well worth it.

Stock Statuses

All inventory statues should be up to date for each product in the online store. You can view that information in the “availability” area, which is right next to the unit price on the individual product page.

Please find the additional inventory information (as far as whats out or low stock) on some of the more popular items below:

Oil Caps

Oil Caps are running. You will see we send another big batch of red anodize out today.

For those of you that ordered an under hood kit we made a note in the comments that all parts shipped, less the oil cap. We will pick the oil caps up from plating next week.

ABS Covers

These will start running late next week, or week of August 16th. We are wrapping up another big round of z brackets on the middle Mazak now, and will be setting up ABS and Fuse Box covers once the z brackets are finished. We machine 1200 bracket at a pop, and will have completed that run within a week.

Fuse Box Covers

As we have mentioned on nearly every recent update, we are to the point we need a dedicated machine now just for fuse box covers. We have two new machines on order, and will take delivery in the 4th quarter this year.

We sold out again on the 2011-2021 Charger, and 300 fuse box cover which also fits the 15 and up Challengers. We ordered material so we can run them along side the ABS Cover in the next week and a half / two weeks. We have stock for 2010 Charger, Challenger and 300, and we have plenty of inventory for Rams, Jeeps, and Durangos all years all styles.

Uni-Strut Covers

These sold out this week. We will manufacture the next round at the end of the month. On next Friday’s update we should have a better ETA on when those will go on a machine.

Coil Pack Covers

Coil Pack Covers will start to ship out in satin machine finish the week of August 23rd. Colors will start to go out later this month for finshes.

Valve Covers

Those of you who got onboard for the one off valve cover run, Alex reached out to you guys yesterday and locked in your deposits.

We will be starting them next week. If you are new to all of this, and interested in a set, call in. We usually have one or two extra sets as we order extra material to cover any FUBARS we my make when machining them… or if Lake Worth Utilities spikes our power at random and we loose one (it has happened).

We can put you on the list if we have a few left and we will not take any dollars or cards. This will be the only run this year.

We’ve Got Nothing Else for You

Folks that’s going to do it for this week. Please allow us at leasts 15 days from the time you see your order has come back in from finishes to ship out to you. Need it sooner? Call in, we will do all we can to make that happen.
