Manufacturing Update August 15, 2022

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to mid August. First a sincere thank you for your support and trust. It’s been a couple weeks since our last update. Our team apologizes for the delay. Factory Color Match Paint

We will start out today’s update with the factory color paint match.

B5 Blue

Good news is the B5 Blue is back. We did have several cancellations on that batch since it has been out since late March / early April respectively. Any left overs will be going over on to Nick Billet’s Facebook page to be auctioned off.

B5 orders have the highest priority here, and are being worked on so we can get them out the door and into your hands ASAP. We are very thankful to everyone who stayed on board with us. Please know you are appreciated by our team.

Color Batches Currently at Paint

The Redline Red Pearl and F8 Green are currently being worked on at paint. We expect those orders back before month’s hopefully next week.

Smoke Show, and Indigo Blue will come in behind those for late August early September shipments back to us. We will be speaking with our painter again on the 16th. After that we will have a better idea of what to expect, and hopefully narrow down the ETA’s

Second Source for Painting

The good news is we have a secondary source for painting. We have some TorRed out now and will do a proper introduction here later this month.

Team BT wants to thank our awesome client Michael Christoforo (aka @granite_bee on instagram) for the introduction. Michael has purchased many satin machine finished parts from us and had them painted then sent back here for engravings. The finish on his parts have always been fantastic, with zero issues engraving them. The parts from his last custom order are holding up well two years later and are in perfect condition. 

Bringing Back Color Match Paint

If all goes well on the batch of TorRed we have out, then we will reintroduce the color match paint options officially in September again.  

Our primary focus is CLEANING UP all the old paint match orders and getting them out the door before we offer these options to the masses. Once we are assured those orders are moving forward properly and in an expedited fashion we will bring back the factory color match options online, and split the colors between both painters.

Don’t Mind the Long Lead Time?

If you still want to order factory color match parts from us, you can. We simply ask you to call us to discuss. For some of our clients the lead-time uncertainty is not an issue.

We have clients who have been with us a long time and just want great parts, and don’t mind the long wait. If that’s you then, we are here for you. Transparency, customer service, and a top shelf product are the big three’s here at BT and always will be.

Anodize, Powder Coat & Polish

The good news is on the standard anodized colors, and powder coating, everything is moving along and shipping (in most cases) within lead-times.

We have had quite a bit of stuff we sent out and come back in from color since our last update on August 1st. Standard Black, Blue/Matte Blue (both batches 7/28 & 8/4), Titanium/Matte Titanium, Matte Red, Standard Red and Clear Anodize batches have all come back in house. The team is working these in for final processes, but please keep in mind the B5 Batch does have priority.

Please refer to the tables below to see if your order has gone out, come back in or both.

The batch of Racing Red Metallic from July 18th is still out, as is the batch of Purple/Matte Purple anodize. We expect those batches back in here sometime later this week.

Inventory

Inventory wise we are in pretty good shape on everything. We do have some products to cover so check below;

Hood Strut Covers (cars)

We are very low on stock for these. We will sell out this week. Next MFG Run will be the first week of September. We have plenty of stock for Rams, Jeeps and Durangos.

Coil Pack Covers

We were shorted on material from our order in late June. The good news is we received another drop last week. We ran off 10 more sets and are covering current business in order of receipt.

We still have 18 more sets to fill and we have material still on order from June. We expect the next drop sometime in early September that will clean up all orders, and put a couple sets on the shelf for new business.

Hellcat Water Necks (Charger/Challenger)

Charger/Challenger Hellcat Thermostat housings are scheduled to go on for manufacturing late next week. This may change and of course if it does, we will update you.

Material was ordered in late July and we have had our delivery pushed back twice based on a rescheduled material delivery. So far the delivery date of August 23rd is on the books.

Hellcat Water Necks (TrackHawk, RAM TRX & Durango)

These water necks are also very low stock with the next MFG Run scheduled for early September.

Hellcat Super Charger Coolant Reservoir Covers

We sold out late last week. Next MFG Run will be sometime in early to mid September.

Ram, Durango and Jeep Fuse Box Covers (all years)

We are low stock but we are getting material every other week to keep things moving and this goes for the fusebox covers in general.

Supply Chain Problems

Folks, as many of you know supply chain problems still plague us be it material, hardware, o-rings etc. We are adapting and in some cases changing thread pitches (o-rings) for new business, manufacturing our own hardware, etc. Yes sadly at times we have to bump out manufacturing dates due to material supply, but rest assured we will keep you posted on anything that becomes a problem.

These are truly times that test each and everyone of us, no matter if you are buying BT bling or simply hitting the store for something you need.

As we have said for two and a half years, and going back much further than that, Team BT is here with you and together we get through it. Thank you everyone for understanding and not beating up your friendly BT Team member too badly when you do call into vent.
