Manufacturing Update August 29th, 2013

Welcome to the late Labor Day Weekend Edition of the BT Manufacturing Updates Page.

Summer is drawing to a close and with that our busy season should start to wind down.  This year we saw a vast improvement over last year in terms of keeping lead-times on point and having better communication with you guys and gals.

In late July and into August some of our customers saw delivery slip on average approximately 15-20 days out, and for this we do apologize.  Overall your BT Team was well prepared inventory wise this year, and we kept the manufacturing flow steady and relatively trouble free.  We move into the fall and the last quarter of 2013 on a positive note due to your generous support.  In other words the State of The BT Union is Strong!  If you want to know what’s up here please call us we love to hear from you!

Order Status Email Updates

We have implemented our order status email updates in an attempt to keep you in the know and in the loop on where your order was and is in the manufacturing process.  We do have a few more bugs to work out there, but overall your feedback has been positive and your input has been welcome on this feature.  Always know that we will work hard towards continual improvement as it relates to our interaction with you and our manufacturing processes.

Shipping, Lead Times and Custom Orders

Remember, most BT items are made your way to order with over 80% of our clients now choosing a custom twist.  If you expect your order to ship today, we may not be the company for you.  We will be the company that works the hardest to make your ride unique, special, and give you a top-notch product that you are proud to own.

Even if we are in between updates, each product has a true and correct “Availability” that can be found right in the box where you are adding the product to your shopping cart. 

Standard lead-times can be found right in each products description and that information has an individual call out.

We always do our very best to give you up to date information so you have the knowledge to choose whether or not our products and our services are right for you and your car.

Now on to the updates and some of the items that we are asked about on a regular and daily basis:

Valve Covers:

• Most satin machine finished valve covers have shipped and are on the way or in our customer’s hands.
• There are a few clear anodize covers still left to ship and a few colors, but most these are done.
• We do have one set left so please give us a call if you are interested. We can make it any finish you would like.

Coil Pack Covers:

This is the first time we have run valve covers and coil packs on our quarter run where the valve covers came out first.  We apologize for the delay.  Scheduling conflicts as it relates to the other side of our business did dig in to some of the BT lead-times this summer.  Coil Pack Covers included.

• Coil pack covers are machined.
• If you ordered just machine satin we will be engraving your kit and have that on the way to you the 2^nd week of September.
• Color and polished kits including customs and designer cut items will be shipped and out of the shop before the end of September.

Fuse Box Covers 05-07& 08+
Charger, Magnum, 300 Challenger:

• The 05-07 fuse box covers are machined.
• Satin covers will start to ship right after the Labor Day break.
• Color and Polish will be out on both 05-007 and 2008 and up covers late in the 3^rd week of September.

Jeep Fuse Box Covers 05-10 & Jeep/Durango Covers 11+:

Late September is the time!   We will open a group buy so stay tuned.  Prices should be in line with our current fuse box offerings.

We are finishing up the final numbers now and will have detailed pictures and prices probably the second full week of September. 

Thank you Jeep owners we love you guys and appreciate you.  You all have become our rock truly in loyalty and support. It never waivers and we do not forget that.

Strut Covers both styles:

This past summer has seen the Billet Technology original strut cover caps just explode in the market place.  Each run we think we have run enough to satisfy demand, and then we are sold out all over again.  

• We are completely sold out
• EW will start shipping again the 2^nd week of September.
• We have tripled our efforts this time on this product.

Challenger Cup Holder Bezels:

Last call on this BT original for Challenger owners.   We are discontinuing cup holder bezels on this last run. 

Order now to ensure delivery in late September.

Door Sill Plates all cars:

We have had a massive run on sills this summer most have been customs.  This item along with badges and under hood kits seem to be the most popular place for customers to express their creative side.

We are super low on stock for each style, and will machine more right after the Labor Day Break.

Your BT Team is shipping these as quickly as possible.

Water Necks:

• Regular and tapped are now shipping in satin.
• We are back to standard lead-times on color and polish!

We let you guys and gals down on these this summer on that product and we hang our head low there.  We promise to do a better job of not letting a product manufacturing date slip again like we did with this product this summer.

GTO:

• All GTO items with the exception of random late orders are shipping or shipped.
• We are preparing another round of group buy items for Goat owners.
• Keep checking back in the GTO section of our website for the latest and greatest.

Just a reminder GTO Catch Cans will remaining in as a solid regular rotation item here at BT.

We welcome our fellow GTO friends and owners to send us installation pictures and write ups of their other mods so we can put you in the Billet Tech Garage.

2013 and up Thorttle Body Covers:

• We are manufacturing them now with delivery to start in mid September.
• We are building for the future on this also as we are starting to see more of these come in.
• We should be fully stocked by the end of September and back on point.

Wheel Center Caps:

• All blanks are off the machine and off to finish.
• Back orders are shipping daily.
• Current orders are back on lead-time.

Oil Catch Cans:

• Satin catch cans are shipping in 1-3 business days
• All styles, all options, all mounting locations, all vehicles.
• We are back on point lead-time wise for color and polish.

This is the ORIGNAL two-chambered catch can.  If it looks like a BT can but it does not come from BT or our awesome vendor partners then you are getting a substandard knock off product PERIOD!  Do not be fooled.

Speaking of Catch Cans we are branching over to Mercedes Benz, Audi, Jaguar and other Exotics!  We have the mounting locations, fittings and hose sizes engineered and we are in production now.

Ford Mustang and Truck Owners

Same goes with Ford Mustang and Ford Truck owners.  Why settle for the knock off when you will soon be able to purchase the original!

Once again folks we appreciate you and thank you.  We always say it but it’s worth mentioning again: trust is a delicate thing.
