Manufacturing Update August 7, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to the first Manufacturing Update of August 2020. First, as we must do opening each ,and every update, our team thanks you! We thank you for supporting our family owned, and operated business during these strange, and difficult times.

We appreciate the opportunities to create for you, to earn your trust, and for the generosity you, our customers, have shown our team since the Covid19 Pandemic begin in March of this year.

We know many of you look forward to car shows, racing, and just being in, and around your car modding it, or going for a drive. We are right there with you, and our team will continue to provide you friendly service, support, and the best products in the genre for your ride.

Purple Is Back

Below you will find that we have received the purple, and matte purple back in. The team has started to sort those items, preparing them for assembly on catch cans, and engravings on the under hood pieces.

We will get those stand alone catch can orders out early next week. The remainder of the items will get wrapped up, and completed in the next week to 10 days.

Blues & Racing Red Batches Went Out

We also sent a large batch of blue anodize out (both standard & matte), as well as a round of racing red metallic for powder coating. We should see those finishes back in approximately 15 days from our supplier partners.

Factory Colors are BACK!

As promised on the update from July 31st, we have returned the following factory match color codes to the BT products on our website. The colors below are now available for ordering:

• F8 Green
• B5 Blue
• Destroyer Grey
• Octane Red
• Redline Red
• Jazz Blue

Additional Factory Color Options?

We do plan to open the color pallet of factory finishes to more “flavors” in the coming weeks. However, we want to make sure our vendor partner can handle the workload.

Team BT needs to ensure we can deliver your parts to you (with the exception of an intricate graphical theme) within a reasonable time frame, not 5-6 months later, as was happening before were removed those options earlier in the year.

Once the process has a stable, consistent, acceptable turn around time, we will start to add more options into the mix. Keep and eye on our updates for more information.

To order those factory finishes just visit BT’s Online Store, find the product, or products, you are interested in, and you will find the factor match options now in the finish drop down menus.

Stock Status Update

We do have some stock updates today. Each product in the store is 100% current in the “availability” section, next to the pricing. As always, when in doubt please call (561.582.6171) or email us for the latest, and greatest information.

Hood Prop/Strut Covers

We have had to push the next manufacturing run back to the end of this month.

We do have stock on Ram Truck, Jeeps and and Durango shock covers.

It’s the cars we are tapped out of.

Having our quick turn lathe down last month pushed us back a bit, and we absolutely apologize for this. The team will work hard once we get them on the machine, and get them to you as quickly as possible. Thank you for staying the course with us on those.

Fuse Box Covers

Fuse box covers are running. We will be shipping satin machine finishes again staring the third week of August. Colors will start to go out by the end of the month for finishes.

Door Pin Locks & Bezels

We have very limited stock on some colors. No satin machine finish on the shelf.

We do not expect to put these on the lathe, and run another round off again until sometime in September.

Coolant Reservoir Covers

The big coolant reservoir cover material is ordered, and we should see it come in the third week of August. We have quite a few back orders on those, and as soon as we have notification that the material is inbound to us, we will get the middle Mazak ready to go so we can start immediately. We will keep you guys up to date over the next couple of updates on that.

Coil Pack Covers

We sold out of coil pack covers yesterday. As mentioned, the valve covers may be retiring back to the Billet Tech Vault, however, the coil pack covers will remain in the product rotation.

We will do the next manufacturing run on those in September to take us through the fall, and winter months.

We should have everyone accounted for who placed an order to date with the exception of one black set.

Any new orders will now start to ship in late September.

Water Necks

Water necks (all styles, all versions) are running. Yes, all styles and versions: 5.7, 6.1, 6.4, Hellcat/Demon, and Trackhawk water necks are on the machine.

They will be running for at least the next two weeks We should start shipping satin machine finish hopefully next week, and all through the third week of August.

We are running a large restock batch for all these, and will be set to go moving forward into the fall, and winter months.

Trackhawk Water Necks
For those of you with a Trackhawk water neck on order we do apologize for the delay. We applied for a patent on that part, and because of Covid19, there have been delays in getting paperwork, and response times from the United States Patent Office.

Our patent attorney had good luck this week getting some headway there, and we should be able to launch, and ship those back orders later this month.

We went to the extreme to secure a patent on that piece quite frankly because we are tired of people ripping off our designs including the mothership granting an “official license” to a competitor based on our two chambered catch can top. We will now start aggressively enforcing our designs, and engineering moving forward on any new parts that make significant changes to the factory pieces that improve the functionality of the pieces themselves or any design patents we have also applied for and will be launching new product on shortly.

Team BT respects competition, and competition ups our game when it’s good and clean competition. Good competitors can work together on projects also for the betterment of the community as we do with our friends at AAD Performance. When other companies blatantly rip off your ideas, and products, either selling them on eBay for less than the cost of the material, or down right sourcing out of the United States to cheap Chinese factories, eventually the companies, and people bringing you the innovative designs disappear then you the consumer are left with junk.

Our team worked for too hard, for too many years, and we are done being nice and just saying “oh well” about this. As demonstrated when car clubs, and organizers of certain shows decide to file frivolous lawsuits against our company, and people hoping for a quick pay day, we are not adverse to laying down the hammer, and protecting what we have worked for.

Satin Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping within that 3-5 business day lead-time (as advertised on our website) or sooner.

If you need a satin can order shipped the following business day after you order just let us know in the order comments section. If you are calling in to place your order, let us know during the phone call, and we will take care of that for you.

So happy to see so many of our clients checking out the updates, and requesting the next business day shipment. With that said, all satin catch cans ordered through August 5th are either shipped, or in packaging right now.

A side note on satin catch cans we are running low on fender brackets, but should be ok for the satin lead-time shipping.
