MFG Update December 1, 2018

Good morning folks and welcome to the first MFG Update for December 2018. November was an incredible month, we are amazed at how INCREDIBLY GENEROUS you all have been to our team with your business and support.

Each year since we started our brand back in 2006 we have had our traditional sale that runs before Thanksgiving. This year y’all blew us away. As you know, the heavy traffic fried our server, and you all remained patient with our team and we worked it out together to get the train back on the track.

This is why we called it The Peoples Sale this year. It truly is a special connection Team BT has made with our customers over the years. You have stayed with us through the lean years, and then the ICE years, never wavering.

It’s an amazing thing and we simply cannot begin to tell you or express in writing what that means to su.  This is why saying “thank you” (so many times) does not seem like enough. If you read these updates regularly, you know our appreciation for you is truly heartfelt .

Now, The Info

Now with the “sap” out of the way let’s get into some information so you guys and gals can follow along with what’s happening. If at anytime, you don’t see the information you are looking for in these sometimes lengthy updates (some might say doctoral dissertations), just give us a call (561.582.6171) or email us and we will get you the info you need.

Do try to keep up to date with these updates, especially when we have order number tables that show items coming in and going out for finishes.

Inventory Tables Next Week

Late next week we will launch the inventory table of what we have on hand and what will still need to build product wise. That table will consist of the following:

• Part number and name
• How many pieces on order
• Inventory on hand
• Quantity we need to make to fill current business and work towards restocking.
• Scheduled run times on these product.

Love It When a Plan Comes Together

We have a very good handle on where we are at, and have a proper plan in place to tackle any shortages via quick manufacturing runs. As we told you leading up to the events of November, we plan for this months in advance. We already have a nice amount of product on the shelf, though we will most definitely need to build more of some items.

Catch Can Update

We have some catch can information for you. As we already let you know we continually run this product every single day at our facility. Below you will find tables for satin catch cans with an order number and ETA to ship.

There is another group of tables for catch can orders only from November 15th to this mornings batch. One table will show orders with just catch cans on order and the finish, the second table shows the orders for catch cans that also have other products ordered in the same color on those individual orders. As you know we like to process orders and color together when at all possible when folks order more than one piece to ensure consistent finish.

As you can see from catch cans (both stand alone and ordered with other products) you guys definitely showed up big and for this we are so thankful especially knowing you have choices. The good news is we have product and are in good shape with the can itself.

Brackets, and supporting parts to go with some of these cans will need replenishing and will work diligently to keep the flow smooth and as quick as possible so we can get you your product without compromising quality.

Once our new CNC Lathe is here (we have a delivery window of either the week before Christmas or the very first week of January we should know 100% mid week next week), things will speed up VERY QUICKLY on that catch can front as we will have two machines dedicated to that product alone.

Holiday Delivery Requests

As we kindly asked you in prior MFG Updates over the past two weeks to have holiday delivery requests in to us by November 30th. Any request received after November 30th (today) will be a long shot. We will of course attempt to make it happen, but the chances of a holiday delivery will pretty much be gone.

You will see us sending smaller batches to plate and powder coat now and all the way up until the week of December 17th. In fact we sent more purple today to go with the batch we sent on Tuesday of this week. This will again happen frequently as we work with our superior supplier partners to get those holiday requests filled.

Even if we ship you a partial shipment on an order we are going to do our very best to get that holiday delivery to you. As we already stated coolant tanks ordered November 14th and after will not make it. Satin tanks maybe, but that’s a big maybe. Look for those to start to delivery in January again.

Partner and Suppliers’ Christmas Holiday Breaks

As we stated before and after the sale via MFG Updates, many of our supplier partners will be closing for Christmas and New Years week some as early as December 19th. Will keep you posted if we have any situations  crop up that may jeopardize holiday delivery requests that were made to us prior to the November 30th deadline request.

Middle Machine Servo Alarms

Speaking of a potential slow down our middle machine has been throwing some servo alarms. We took it down today just before lunch and have techs coming Monday to get that machine healthy with no hiccups.

We have contingency plans in place with evening hours scheduled to move anything that would be on the middle Mazak over to another machine to offset any down time we may lose in the day. Again, our goal always, clear communication, and delivery of your product without compromising quality.

White and Matte Red are Back

Finally we did get some orders back in here today from plate and powder coat and sent stuff out to get done. Much, much more will be going out next week and of course will keep you up to speed as we do send your products out for finish and get them back. Please check the tables below for orders which have returned from white and matte red finishes.

Lead Time for Final Processes

If you see your order has come back in from plate or powder coat please allow us 7-14 days to complete any assembly and or final process such as engraving to ship your order to you. If you feel this will be an issue with a holiday event or any other travel plans you may have as we enter into December please call (561.582.6171) or email us so we can get you moved up and get you out the door by your need by day. Same with satin catch cans need an order shipped now please call us so we can do what we can to assist you.

Jazz Blue Metallic & F8 Green

Finally, next week will have Jazz Blue Metallic and F8 Green ready to order. We are finalizing pricing now. These are custom colors where a coating was created from the paint codes over the course of a few months to nail the process down and be accurate to your factory finish. Once live, we will let you know so you can order.

We cannot change the color on, or exchange your Peoples Sale orders.

Those two finishes since they were not “canned” finishes you can buy from Prismatic Coatings. Team BT negotiated with our vendor partner to ensure quantity is adequate for them to be treated fairly and equitably for their time invested. We will work to keep the price in line with our other powder coated finishes, but those two finishes will be higher than the other powders we currently offer. We simply cannot afford to do a swap out on deeply discounted items sold during the sale.

We always do our best to be open with you and this is the reason why. We are not using a home depot spray gun the coating process is top shelf and professional no hacks.
