Manufacturing Update February 25, 2022

Good afternoon folks and welcome to Friday, and that means we have a fresh update to for you today.

It has been incredibly busy here at the shop and as always it’s because of you. Thank you to all of you first for your trust, secondly for your patience and most of all for your support.

We had several visitors this week, and each one said the same thing: “holy crap I had no idea”. We are not a big company but a LOT gets done.

Yes, sometimes things get pushed back, or even get moved in. There are many intangibles at play and we do our best to stay on schedule each week with the information we provide to you. This is especially true for those doing due diligence when deciding whether to place an order (or not).

Quick Inventory Update

Fuse Boxes

We blow through fuse boxes (of all styles) like crazy.

We ordered a new CNC in September of last year to help us get more of these manufactured each month and other parts of that general size. We have had our delivery pushed back 3 now 4 times due to chip shortages. Original delivery was November 2021, then pushed to late December 2021 then late January 2022, now we have another push back to mid to late April 2022.

Folks we are literally machining at capacity and running 18 hrs per day here. As long as you are willing to be patient we will get your order filled.

With that said we have been sold out of fuse box covers across the board for every vehicle (cars, trucks and Jeeps) since January. We have had to push back our eta to run these a couple of times. What we can tell you for certain is that we will be fully restocked in satin machine finish in March. Then colors will go all through March.

The first covers we will be running are for the Jeeps, Durangos, and Rams (all years). Material is coming in late next week and we will get started right away. Satin fuse boxes should be shipping second week of March and colors out for finishes all through March.

We have ordered material for the fuse box covers for the cars (300, Charger, Challenger). We will be running those probably late the 2nd week of March with satin shipping during the third week and then colors going off for finishes.

ABS Covers

As we manufacture fuse box covers, we will also be running ABS Covers. Satin machine finish should begin shipping mid March with parts going out for color all through March.

We run ABS Covers and Fuse Box Covers simultaneously on one machine.

Supercharger Coolant Reservoir Covers

The other two items that we also need to jump on are the Hellcat Supercharger Coolant Reservoir Covers and the Trackhawk, Durango, and TRX Ram Supercharger Coolant Reservoir Covers.

March will definitely be a restocking month for each of those products. We will move as quickly as possible to get them done and restocked in satin machine finish by the 3rd week of March with colors going out afterwards.

PCV Covers

We sold out of PCV Covers this week and will be running the next batch sometime in March (we should have a better eta on next weeks update).

Coolant Tank Covers

Everything else in our offerings, we are in good shape, including coolant tank covers.

All back ordered satin machine finished coolant tank covers started shipping Wednesday of this week and the last of them are with Andrea now for packing. So everyone with a satin machine finish order, less a custom engrave, your product is on the way.

Coolant tank covers will be on the machine for at least another two and a half, possibly three weeks. We are running product to fill all back orders, and have at least 25-28 on the shelf for new business.

Polish, and clear anodize tanks are on today’s update with other products (see the tables below).

Next week blue anodize and purple anodize both standard and matte finishes on the coolant tanks will be going to plating and sublime and plum crazy purple will also be heading out for those with factory color match.

Each week for the next several weeks we will have tables dedicated to the coolant tank covers and what finishes are heading out until we have everyone covered.

Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping within 3-5 business days from the day you order. We have plenty of stock in all styles. We are sending colors out each week.

Colors Out

This week we sent the following batches out for finishes: Polish, Clear, Blue / Matte Blue, Purple / Matte Purple, and Matte Black Anodize. You can find more information on those batches, and which orders on in them on the tables below the article.

Just a quick note, the titanium and matte titanium we had planned to get out this week we have pushed it back about a week or so to get the washer fluid caps off this production run (no impact on lead-times).

Factory Color Match

Factory Color Match again is the longest time to get. We use two vendors for the process, they are small companies who do fantastic work, and stand behind their product if there are any issues.

Both Companies work on two color batches at a time. Right now Sublime and Plum Crazy are out. Destroyer Grey is back, and TorRed will be back in early next week. TorRed actually should have been here first, it’s in transit back to us from the west coast, however the Destroy Grey made it back today ahead of that.

Color Match Batches On Deck

F8 Green will be back here late Tuesday or Wednesday morning early as will some Indigo Blue that has fuse box cover and washer fluid caps in that very small batch.

Once those are in our hands we have B5 Blue, Octane Red, Smoke Show and Jazz Blue ready to go. All of those orders are bundled and ready for the thumbs up from our painters to send it.

We know you are antsy, and we are just as anxious for you to have your items. We do not want to overwhelm our partners and compromise quality.

This is why we always say we may not be the company for you if you are in a hurry. Transparency is critical in our operations with you, our customers, so you can make informed decisions before or even during the process.

Pending or Ready to Ship Status

Folks when the finishes come back in from our vendor partners on anodize, powder coat or painting we will be moving your orders to ‘pending to ship’ status.

All stand alone catch cans are sorted and moved to assembly immediately, so you will see those get out to you within a 3-5 business days, or sooner.

When your order moves to ‘ready to ship’ status your package will be shipping within one business day.
