Manufacturing Update March 4, 2022

Good afternoon BT Nation. It’s the First Friday in March, the first Manufacturing Update in March, and finally the last month of the first quarter 2022. Spring is just around the corner. Daylight savings time is returning next weekend, longer days, car shows, racing and good times are near. We make the best of what we can just like you do too.

Our team is proud to be part of your lives in some small way, we are grateful and humbled by your trust and support.

Colors In

Folks we have quite a bit of stuff back this week. F8 Green is the only factory color match batch to make it back to the shop. However the batches of Purple (standard and matte), Clear, Blue (standard and matte), Matte Black anodize are all in house and moving through final processes.

The batch sent out for Polish as also returned. Be sure to check the tables below for more detailed information as to what has come back in.

Small Batches of Coolant Tanks

We sent out a small batch of coolant tanks for Purple and Blue anodize in both standard and matte finishes. Both batches have already returned.

Colors Out

Besides the two batches of Coolant Tanks, we sent a batch out for Plum Crazy Purple powder coat, as well as batches to anodize in standard Black, and Titanium (standard and matte). Those batches are in the tables below the article.

Factory Color Match ETAs

The only delays we are having is with the factory color match. Yes, it’s taking a long time. The Plum Crazy and Sublime went on last week’s update. When those come back (should be another week or so) B5 Blue, Octane Red and Jazz Blue will go out. We should be able to get Smoke Show in with that as well. Please do call us for the latest information.

Anodize & Powder Coat Batch ETAs

The standard anodize colors, black, red, blue, orange, purple, titanium and clear anodize we are getting about a weeks turn around time (from the time we send the orders out to plating).

Powder coated, yellow, white and racing red metallic the turn around is about 15 days from the time we send out.

Color Batches On Deck

For those that tune in weekly to read what’s up, we can let you know that the next round of anodize and powder coat finishes that will be going to plating and powder coating (those processes are done here locally) are red anodize, yellow powder coat, and racing red metallic powder coat.

Order Statuses and Expectations

As mentioned we have received a lot of batches back, and we have a lot of stuff Andrea is packing up. When we tell you there is a lot of stuff there is A LOT OF STUFF.

When the finishes come back in from our vendor partners on anodize, powder coat, or painting we will be moving your orders to ‘pending to ship’ status.

All stand alone catch cans are sorted and moved to assembly immediately, so you will see those get out to you within a 3-5 business days, or sooner.

When your order moves to ‘ready to ship’ status your package will be shipping within one business day.

Please be a little extra patient. We are working as quickly as possible to get your orders completed and out the door after they come back in from finishes.

Satin Machine Catch Cans

As always satin machine finish cans are shipping within3-5 days from ordering.

Inventory Status

Inventory statuses are up to date on the website. You can see the availability next to the unit price on each product’s page. The lead-times are in the product descriptions, you can also find that info here: Order Lead Times.

Supply Chain Challenges

Family, we do everything we can to stay within lead-times. Most of you understand the challenges out in the word today, so let’s call it what is is: world wide stresses, and shortages.

Team BT is having difficulties getting certain sized domestic certified material right now. We NEVER buy foreign material.

We are also running into some tooling shortages and hardware issues too. We are adapting and moving forward.

Yes, it has taken time to get our products since day one. We will always communicate with you clearly. Please be aware we may push things back on some production runs. It really is a food chain folks in the literally sense.

What we can assure you of is a friendly voice on the other end of the phone, and courteous attention to your emails. Vent away, we understand. All of us here deal with clients daily. We get it.

First and foremost we understand this is a people business. The quality parts will always be there this is literally our trademark (it’s a rare day you will hear anyone complain about a BT product from the quality standpoint). Being there for people goes hand in hand with the product this is absolute!!

Gmail Issues

Speaking of communications, and a people business, Gmail is having issues as it relates to our outbound responses to you. If your emails go through Gmail, and you sent us an email this week we did receive your email. There were intermittent issues at the beginning of the week with our replies bouncing back. We would resend and it was fine, the email would go through.

However the past 24-48 hours we know the responses to Gmail accounts were not going through, nor were our auto-responder emails. We spent several hours with our tech support folks on our email server getting a fix in for this. Again this is only Gmail users. We are not the only ones having this issue, however it seems to be a small percentage of people having this problem.

If a phone number was provided on the inbound email, we called customers today to answer questions and reconnect. We also setup secondary Gmail account(s) to reply to you folks until the issues are fixed.

This issue should be resolved by Monday when we resume office hours. As always if you do not hear back from us do pick up the phone and call in (561.582.6171).
