Manufacturing Update May 21, 2021

Good afternoon BT Nation. It’s Friday, and that means we have a brand new MFG Update ready for you.

First, and always a heartfelt thank you for all of the support you show our team. The volume of orders has been overwhelming. It goes without saying that we appreciate the trust you place in our team, and remain humbled and grateful to all of you. Thank you often times never seem enough.

Colors In and Out

Today we will keep it focused on what has come back in, and gone out for finishes. This week we received the purple and matte purple batches back in from plating. The team is unpacking the purple and getting ready to bang out the final processes on those orders.

We sent out batches of lime green metallic and plum purple to powder coat. Black, matte black, orange, and matte orange went out for anodize. Please see the tables below to check if your order has gone out, or come back from finish. Lead Time for Final Processes

As a reminder please have some extra patience when you see your parts have come back from color, we have a TON of product in the engraving queue. Our standard lead time for final processes is 10 business days. Please allow us the time to finish your order with the attention to detail, and quality you expect from Team BT.

High Volume in the Engrave Queue

3 of our 5 CNC Mills are currently engraving product just to get the back log out. It’s a balancing act here to keep running production, and getting all the pieces engraved.

We have 653 orders that are and back from color or in satin machine finish that are completing the final processes of engraving so we can get your pieces into Andrea to ship.

Because we keep all our products on the shelf in satin machine finish, those orders are never in the update tables. When satin orders come in they go into the assembly queue, or engraving queue, within a couple of days of order placement.

Satin machine finish is our most popular finish here, so when we say we are slammed we are! In fact we have been perpetually slammed non-stop for a long time with very little lulls. Its incredible, and again we thank you for that.

Colors on Deck

We have batches of polish, and standard red anodize ready to go out next week. You’ll see those on the May 28th Update.

Stock Statuses

Fuse Box Covers

Fuse box covers for Chargers, Challengers, and Chrysler 300s are back on the machine this morning for a new round of manufacturing.

As we have mentioned over the past several updates we make a new round of product and they are all gone again. The demand for these has been sky high along with the ABS Cover as many of you guys and gals are doing “combo themes” on those two products to create a “one image” look. While we still sell a lot of standard engravings, it’s the customs that are really fueling the sales of those products.

We do have ABS Covers in stock.

PCV Caps and Covers

We will start manufacturing those right after the Memorial Day weekend. We have no stock on either currently with the exception of some random colors in the stock room.

Sigma Series Radiator and Super Charger Coolant Caps

We have material here, just waiting for a machine to free up to bang out a small run of those, so we can get some of these older orders out. Looking towards the middle of next week for us to pop those on a machine.

Power Seat Covers

We sold out late last week. We probably won’t get those on a machine until the second week of June.

They move steadily, but in this case only so many machines, and for your Star Trek buffs to quote Spock “the needs of the many” comes to mind here. We will be replenishing again in June, we just can’t pinpoint exactly when yet.

Coil Pack Covers

We will be running those definite the second week of June. Material will be ordered next week.

Satin Machine Finish Catch Cans

Satin machine finish catch cans are shipping right around the 7 days from ordering.

Again, we are getting a ton of orders each week for these. If you need your satin machine finish catch can to ship the next business day, from the day you order it, just let us know in the order comments when checking out, or let one of the BT Teammates know over the phone, and we will take care of it.
