Manufacturing Update September 28, 2020

Lone Star Moparfest

It’s Lone Star Moparfest Week, with festivities kicking off Friday! The big day is Saturday, with the car show, and racing at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas; the track proudly flying the Pennzoil Colors as it should be.

Team BT is, and always has been, “Friends of Lone Star Moparfest”. We are so pleased to be sending a group out for this year’s event, as we have for many years in the past. Nick Billet will be racing, and also showing off his BT Bling on his Hellcat. So if you see him, be sure to say hello, and introduce yourself.

Sebastian will be with Nick to help him in the pits. The notorious HemiBear is rumored to be on site this weekend as well.

It should be a great time, something we all need right now.

Anodize Batches

Today we dropped off batches of matte black, and matte red to the plater. The team at anodize was just starting to wrap up the batches of orange, and matte orange that we dropped off on September 10th. Those batches (orange and matte orange) will definitely be back here tomorrow.

Anodize Delays

As you all know and as we have spoken extensively over the years that our company only works with the best people in their craft, and fortunately for us we have folks local to us who are exactly that.

When you are good at what you do work will always be there, even in times like these. Finding people who know what they are doing, when sadly so much has been sourced out of The United States, is rare. Finding companies who stand behind their work, and are consistently producing excellent results each, and every time, even more rare.

We often say it here, “We are amazed when people do a good job. Finding folks that do it with consistency year in, and out these are the types of companies and people we want to work with””.

With that said we have been in very close contact with our plater Anolaze here in West Palm Beach, and they are slammed folks.

As we mentioned to Rick, the owner, last week we will wait for quality work. So please friends, be advised it’s going to be about 3-4 weeks from the time we drop off batches until the we receive the anodize back in house.

Can’t BT Use Another Company?

Our group does not want to go out looking for, or use unknown companies. Why? Because we know what we are getting with the team at Anolaze, and have known for many years now. We made a switch several years back because of poor seal issues, and in general quality we could not trust to last.

This created problems for us, and for you our customers. Since BT made the switch to Anolaze back in June 2016, we’ve had almost zero issues. We want to keep it that way, as it creates value for you in the long run, as long as you are taking care of your pieces. It creates peace of mind for us knowing we are sending you a quality machined, and finished product. One we can stand behind for years to come.

If the process can be completed quicker, it will be, and without any short cuts. Quality over quantity has been our motto for years, and will continue to be.

BT is transparent with you on what’s going on, so you can make an informed decision regarding your purchases, or possible pending purchases with us. Purple and Matte Purple – ETA: Later This Week

The purple, and mate purple, that went out for finish on September 10th was in the tanks. They will be ready before the end of the week.

We are putting it in as “being back from finish” with a tentative ETA of “later this week”.

The primary reason being is the creative team from BT will be heading out to Houston on Wednesday for Lone Star Moparfest (LSMF) and we won’t get an update out again until next Monday.

If you want to call in to confirm that purple batch is completed please check in with us on Thursday October 1st. If this changes we will reverse it out on the October 5th update.

Batches Still Out for Color

The following finishes are still out. Based on our discussion above expect 3-4 weeks on the anodized finishes until we receive them back in.

Anodize Finishes still out:

• Machine Copper and Matte Copper out since September 15th with an ETA due back in sometime the week of October 12th
• Titanium and Matte Titanium out Since September 15th with an ETA due back in sometime the week of of October 12th.
• Blue and Matte Blue out since September 22nd. ETA due back in sometime the week of October 19th

Factory Colors Still out:

• Octane Red out since September 22nd. That batch should be back in our facility late next week.

Polish

• Polish has been out since September 16th and we should see that batch in here by the end of the week.

If you were thinking about placing an order for those particular finishes, along with either red or black anodize, you will make it into the next batch if you place your order this week, and the parts are in stock.

Color Batches on Deck

The next batches that will be goin out later this week, and will be on the Monday, October 5th update are:

• Standard Black
• Standard Red
• Clear and Matte Clear
• Destroyer Grey
• Redline Red

Factory Colors

If you follow along with our social media pages, and as you can see we are starting to get some of our factory color match items back in.  Those pieces are looking good! The B5 Blue came out amazing.

Billet Technology continues to work to build with our vendor partner on those factory finishes. Our plan will be to expand into even more offerings, as long as we are able to keep quality, and delivery consistent. The lead time needs to stay within 15-20 days after we send out the batches also.  

If you have a special request for a particular finish other than the B5 Blue, Octane Red, Redline Red, Destroyer Grey, or Jazz Blue please email us so we can add it to the list. As long as we get 10-15 folks truly interested, and will follow through, we can pursue adding the color to the pallet. There is always the option for a one and done type batch run.

Stock Statuses

The following items are low or no stock:

• Jeep, Durango and Ram Fuse box Covers 2012-2018 style.
  – We are running them now so expect no impact or delays.
• Coil Pack Covers
  – Material is here we are waiting for a machine to free up, and will begin our next MFG Run as soon as possible.
  – Satin Machine Finish will ship in October with colors to follow in November.
  – Plenty of inventory will be manufactured to head into the holiday season.
• T-Handle Shifters
  – We have just completed the last manufacturing run on those.
  – Once we sell out the product will be discontinued.
  – We have 17 of them left that can be done in any finish after we fill back business.

We will have the stock status on each individual part within the store updated by the middle of the week for stock status.

Satin Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping within 3-7 business days from ordering.

One exception has been the Hellcat/Demon and Trackhawk cans. We ran out of the quick connect PCV kits that ship with those. We have sets coming off now, and will resume shipping tomorrow again.

If you need your satin machine finish can to shipped to you the next business day, let your friendly BT rep know if you are placing the order over the phone. If you are placing your order online, just make a note in the comments section, and we will take care of it for you.

PayPal and Payments to BT

Folks with the delay on anodized parts for the next month or so, if you are NOT comfortable with us having your money in advance, or are new to doing business with us, etc, please do not use PayPal as your payment option.

Use a credit card where we only pre-authorize your card on the day you place your order. Your item(s) are subject to a 30% deposit to begin work that is captured off the original authorization code with the balance due upon shipping.

While we do take time to make, and ship our products, no one can ever say that our team has cheated customers out of money.

If you dispute your PayPal, without at least making an effort to reach to us via a phone call or email we will not challenge it. As long as your items have not shipped, we will automatically issue the refund as the option, cancel your order, and move it on to the next person.
