Manufacturing Update February 7, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. Happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend. As always we appreciate you guys and gals allowing us to be part of your owner ship experiences. Thank you all for your support, and most importantly your trust. We do not take any of these for granted.

Today will be a brief update to let you know what has come back in from plating, and powder coating, and what we sent out.

Colors In, Colors Out

The ETA for the batches of finishes still hold firm from the February 4th update. As promised we did receive the purple, matte purple and yellow batches back.

We sent out batches of clear, matte clear, titanium, matte titanium and polish. All of that is reflected in the tables for today’s update (see tables below article for more information).

Standard Red

The standard red from the January 15th batch was being completed yesterday when we picked up our plating. If you are in that batch of orders we will be getting that back next week for sure.

Standard Black

We know a lot of you have current orders with standard black anodize parts that have not yet gone to plating (anodize). The bulk of those are from January’s business.

We will be getting all of those orders out to get anodized early next week. If you have an order in for standard black anodize expect to see your orders go out next week for finish. Please keep an eye on the updates next week.

Stock Statuses

A quick update on stock status:

ABS Covers:
ABS covers are replenished and back on the shelf. We are shipping satin covers and will start sending all back ordered finishes in color and polish out starting next week.

Throttle Body Covers:
Same goes with the 2013+ throttle body covers, Hellcat, Track Hawk and Demon Bypass Valve Cover. We have inventory in satin shipping again, with colors and polish heading for finishes starting next week.

All remaining stock status information is current and on schedule from the February 4th Update.

Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping in 1-3 business days from the day you place your order. Thank you, last week was a record breaker for sales on the OG catch can in satin finish.

Other companies may change the exterior of the design a bit, some outright copy it exactly. The vast majority offering the can in our market place ripped off, or to be PC co-opted, our design which is the two chambered top that makes it work.

One thing Team BT will never do is steal, rip off, or borrow someone else’s hard work. In other words design your own, be creative and innovative. Something we have done since day one, for the past (nearly) 15 years as a brand.

Machine Down!

We presently have a machine down in the shop. One of our lathes is torn apart as we do some troubleshooting to determine what the issue is.

Our friends at V-Tech, who do our repairs, have narrowed it down to two things. We sent the two parts in question out to be tested and repaired as needed.

This is impacting the manufacturing of Thermostat Housings for the Hellcat, Demon and Track Hawk at the moment, and we cannot finish those without a turning center.

Unfortunately our other two turning centers are on other business, and will be until mid March. The repairs will hopefully be completed late next week. Then we can pop those thermostat housings back on the lathe and wrap them up.

We expect to start shipping the satin machine finished items later in the week of February 17th. We will begin sending those parts out for colors and polish that same week. We will keep you up to date as we have more information to share.

Lead Time for Final Processes

Have a look at the tables below, and if you see your order has come back from finish please allow us 7-14 days to complete any final processes before we ship your order. Final processes include such items as assembly, engraving, inspection and packaging.

If you ordered a simple color catch can (no custom engraving) we will have that assembled and out the door within 3 days. Plain color parts no engravings or designer cut same; we will ship within 3 days.
