Manufacturing Update February 4, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. Welcome to February, as always we appreciate all of your support, trust, and for allowing us to be part of your ownership experiences.

Octane Red & Destroyer Grey are BACK!

We will start with the good news the Octane Red and Destroyer Grey is back! We are sorting those pieces now, getting them through inspection, and will begin shipping stand alone catch cans here in the next few days. Orders with catch cans, and other pieces that need engraving, we will start on those within the day, get those orders knocked out, and on the way to you.

Factory Match Colors Temporarily Suspended

Now some bad news. It’s not really all that bad, as it’s just temporary, and only effects the factory match finishes (octane red, redline red, F8 Green, destroyer grey and jazz blue):

For the time being we are temporarily suspending, and removing, the factory color match options from the website. The color options to be suspended are: jazz blue, octane red, redline red, destroyer grey and F8 Green.

When we relaunch the color match options we will add more colors, with acceptable lead times.

Yes it takes time to get our stuff, but some of you have parts which have been out for finish since September. This was mostly on Octane Red which is now back and shipping.

This is not something we have sat on hoping it will go away, or get better on it’s own. We probably should have removed those few factory match finishes before the People’s Sale and then relaunched with a nice discount for your loyalty and repeat business when we knew our partner was ready. We definite screwed the proverbial pooch on this.

One thing BT will always do is be transparent, and communicate with you. We use these updates to inform you, as well as when you call in, or email us, for one on one assistance. This is the reason we did not add those finishes to the interior items when we relaunched those last week, as a bunch of you inquired about that over the weekend.

Current Orders with Factory Match Colors

For those of you with a current order in for factory color match finishes, your order will be filled unless you wish to cancel, or change to a different finish. We anticipate sending the last wave of factory colors the last week of February.

Factory Match Color Vendor Expansion!

As we have let folks know in our MFG Updates, we work with one specific vendor on the factory color match items. Unfortunately the demand for these finishes was far greater then any of us expected.

Early on when we started to offer them in late 2018 the turn around was a little long, but reasonable, at about five weeks. Currently we can’t offer these finishes in good faith, as we do not know how long the lead times will be.

The good news is we have worked hand in hand with our partner on the expansion of his facility. We value the quality of his work, and most importantly the person doing the work, so BT has stepped in to assist. When we do reboot and relaunch, we will meet the demand as well, as offer even more variety.

Factory Match Color Reboot!

When we relaunch factory color match options we expect to do so with consistent, 4-5 week lead-time turn around time, and the high quality we all have come to expect. We expect he will be fully operational towards the end of this month, or early March.

You all have spoken, and we are listening. Your demand for the factory color matched colors, and the desire for finishes not yet offered will be met. It is your ride, your vision, and your Team BT is doing everything we can to bring those visions to life.

Other Finishes

Anodized colors (Including matte finishes) as well as yellow, lime green, racing red metallic and white remain unaffected. These finishes will continue to go out, and come in, the normal batches you see as we post on the MFG Updates. These are the finishes you currently see in the drop down menus. These finishes will have no interruptions, and continue on with standard lead times.

You can expect about a three week lead-time from when we send your pieces to anodize/powder coating until we see them back in the shop.

Have a Show Coming Up?

If you have an upcoming event and you need your order by a certain date please reach out to us with your need by day or time frame. We know many of you are attending events in mid to late March. We already have a couple dozen of you guys and gals in the expedited queue so we can get your pieces completed, and shipped to you.

The sooner we know the better. We expect to have a cut off day for March show business in the next two weeks to guarantee delivery on any items that are not satin machine finish, and have a color process involved.

ETA for Batches Still Out for Finish

Speaking of orders that are out for finish please see below and an ETA when we expect back:

• Purple and matte purple from January 10th
  – should be back later this week
• Standard Red anodize from January 15h
  – late next week (week of February 10th)
• Matte red from January 20
  – the week of February 17th
• Copper all finishes from January 27th
  – third week of February
• Orange and Matte Orange from January 22nd
  – third week of February
• Yellow from January 27th
  – late next week.

Please be mindful friends we may get these parts back sooner. We are basing our estimates on what we are being told to expect from our vendor partners.

Stock Status Updates

Finally we have some inventory status to go over with you. All items are updated in the availability section on each individual product on the website. Stock statuses are accurate as of today’s batching of orders.

The recap below is on items we are running out of stock on with an ETA to manufacturing run. Any items not listed below, are in good shape inventory wise. We always continue to build to keep things in stock in satin on the shelf.

Manifold Baffle Covers:
We sold out over the weekend. We will manufacture these before the end of the month.

PCV Covers:
Sold out. Manufacturing on those will take placed the third week of February.

Devo Style Strut Covers:
We have very low stock only a few sets on the shelf. We will definitely sell out sometime this week. The next mfg run on these will be the first week of March. Possibly sooner if we get some lathe time open where we can sneak them in quicker.

3mm Wheel Spacers:
Sold out. Material will be here next week and will knock these out and have inventory on the shelf again late next week early the following week.

Hellcat Supercharger Coolant Reservoir Covers:
Sold out. Material is here, and as soon as we finish up this run of ABS Covers those will go on the machine.

Fuse Box Covers:
These are currently running, no real impact on lead-times.

Satin Catch Cans:
These continue to ship within 3 business days or sooner. Most orders are shipping the next business day.

That’s It Folks

Friends that going to wrap it for today. We have a whole bunch of anodize getting ready to go out this week. We just wanted to get some of these fuse boxes and ABS Covers off the machine to go in this round of plating, and powder coating and we have a whole bunch of coil pack covers going to finish this week yet too. We will definitely have a new update Thursday, or Friday with a large batch of orders heading for finishes.
