Manufacturing Update January 8, 2021

Happy New Year BT family, and friends. Welcome to the very first update of 2021. As we must, and will continue to do at the beginning of each update, we want to thank you all for your support, for allowing us to be part of your ownership experiences, and most importantly your trust.

60 Days of Winning

The past 60 days with all of you have been such incredible fun. Giving back with The People’s Sale, The Wheel of Winning, the Nick Billet Holiday Giveaways, and the holidays in general are always a special time, regardless if we are locked down or not.

It stirs memories in all of us; of family, friends, good times, and better days to come.

Colors In, Colors Out

Today we only have some powder coat that went out to be added to the batches that were already sent before our powder coater closed for the holidays.

The black anodize is back from the December 22nd update. We have already started to ship parts from that batch. Most of the catch cans that are stand alone (without any other products on the order) are in “pending to ship” or “ready to ship status”. Those orders will be shipped out early to mid next week, and on the way to your doorsteps.

Our Vendor Partners are Back at Work

After two weeks off for the holidays, all of our vendor partners for anodize, and powder coating have returned to work Monday and Tuesday of this week. We are going to start loading them up starting next week.

We will post another manufacturing update on January 14th, or 15th. Expect to see standard red, standard orange, blue, and matte blue on the update late next week.

If you have an order in with those finishes you will be going out to get plated. Standard black, and matte black along with matte red should be on next week’s update as well.

Bottlenecks

January is the time, after all of our major events that we have each year in November and December, when those of you who are still waiting for your orders, start to want to burn the house down here.

Family please know, Team BT is not “taking advantage of you” as we have seen posted in prior years, or just “milking it”. As we always mention during the People’s Sale lead up articles, as well as the Manufacturing Updates that follow, the holiday season, there will be bottlenecks on some things.

Our supplier partners, take time off, we do more business in the 24 hours of the People’s Sale, than we do in first six months of the entire year. This is why in Lead-up to the People’s Sale we continually mention that some orders, and/or lead-times may become “painfully slow”.

Where We Sit Now

Many of you have received your orders complete, or are wrapping up now. As we mention our suppliers usually take a week off at Thanksgiving, and two weeks off for Christmas.

All the standard satin machine finishes continue to steadily ship each month.

Colors start to bog down a bit during the holidays. This is where we are at right now, even more so than with the Factory Color Match finishes.

Factory Color Match Update

As we touched base on our Facebook, and our Instagram pages, as well as briefly on the December 22nd Update, we visited with our vendor partner on the factory color match items on Monday, December 28th.

The company has been devastated by Covid financially, and from an employee standpoint. We do not abandon our partners, and we have that shop on track again to get caught up from the factory color match batches we sent out on the November 24th update.

We also took some of those batches out of there, and are working with a second partner to get those parts finished.

F8 Green is one of them, and we will have some of those parts back next week, to get out to you guys and gals.

When Will Those Batches Ship?

Our plan right now, and we see no reason to deviate from this plan, is for all color match parts, that went out on the November 24th update, to be completed by the end of this month.

We will start shipping those parts out ASAP.  Many of these parts will need final processes (assembly, engraving, quality inspection, etc), we expect the shipping of these batches to extend into early February.

What Can You Do?

If you have an order in the color match batches from the November 24th update, and you are upset, don’t want to continue to wait, or paid via Paypal, etc, please reach out to our team. Simply call (561.582.6171) or email us.

We will work out with you, how YOU want to proceed. You don’t have to chase our team, we don’t ignore your calls, or emails. We want to hear from you, and we will work with you as needed.

Color Match Orders Not on the Nov 24th Update

The remainder of the factory color match parts are from the People’s Sale, and orders placed through January 6th. Below are the tables of those orders, and their respective finishes.

These items have not gone out for finishes. Parts are bundled. We expect to start sending these orders to both our vendor partners starting the week of January 25th, and 31st respectively. If we can move it in we will!

There are a LOT of pieces in these batches. The bulk came from The People’s Sale. This is where the “painfully slow” comes in, and here is our bottleneck as mentioned above.

Two Shops are Faster than One

Having two shops working on the color match finishes we should see turn around times start to speed up. As we get the November 24th batches back in, we will start to send the batches that have not yet gone out.

Speaking with our vendor partners, and seeing the progress to date, we are comfortable scheduling these batches to go out for finish the third week of January. The time frame may very well move up.

We want to see the pieces start to really come back in from the November 24th update prior to sending anymore stuff out, and just letting it sit around.  We want to move parts that can be worked on immediately and will retain them here until we are 100% sure they will be started asap when we sent the items and orders out to be finished.  

Factory Color Match Option is Paused – For Now

We have temporarily removed the color match options from our products.

Once the factory color match issue is RESOLVED, and we are comfortable that the turn around time is acceptable, and the quality is there, we will reinstate those options.

All orders placed through yesterday’s close of business will be completed, or if you so chose, we can make a color change for you.

We simply ask for some more of your patience here. Nick, and Alex will be reaching out to all of you with orders in these tables with a one on one email to talk to you as well. We simply do not feel right about keeping the factory color match options up until we take care of the older business.

Other Color Options

Many of you who ordered with parts in our standard color offerings have already had your orders shipped to you, or we are finishing those orders up now.

Things have moved very smoothly with the exception of the color match finished parts.

We know you guys want that option, and we want to add more colors to the pallet. As we mentioned on our social media pages the last week of December, we are very seriously entertaining bringing that into our own shop. However, that will be a last resort.

Stock Statuses

Inventory statuses are all up to date on the website. We will cover specific information here as well, and the ETA to run.

Folks remember if you have parts that are on back order, and yet you also have pieces on your order that are completed, we ship you a partial shipment.

Devo Style Strut Covers

Unfortunately have had to push the manufacturing date back until the end of January. We have other business in here,m that is not car parts related, and we are running long on a production job due to an add on into the the customers purchase order. Once we wrap that job up, the strut covers will go into the lathe asap.

Water Necks

All Water Necks all styles (Hellcat, Trackhawk, Demon, 5.7L, 6.1, and 392 versions) will begin the next manufacturing runs on those late, the last week of January 24th.

Delivery in satin machine finishes will start in early February.

Colors will start to ship in February until all back orders are filled.

PCV Caps

We have limited stock of PCV Caps.

We will do another manufacturing run in early February, possibly sooner.

Hood Shock Covers

Hood Shock Covers will go on the machine late the week of January 17th, or early the week of January 24th.

We have 91 sets on backorder right now.

Satin machine finish will ship late January, colors in February.

Inventory will be replenished to cover us well into the summer on these.

Door Lock Kits

We have limited stock on colors, and less than a dozen back orders. These will not go to be machined until the first week of February.

Sigma Series Oil Caps

These will go on the machine the week of January 24th to replenish stock, and cover all back orders.

Beverage Deletes

We have various color blanks in stock. Give us a call to inquire about the finish you may be interested in.

We do not have any satin machine blanks currently on the shelf.

We will run these again in mid February to restock blanks completely, so we can have them on hand as needed.

Trackhawk Coolant Reservoir Covers

We have 13 on back order. The next manufacturing run on these will be in early February.

All back orders will be shipped in February, and inventory in blanks on the shelf moving forward into the spring and summer.

Classic 6.1 Oil Caps

We will do another manufacturing run in early to mid February.

We have most orders covered, and at most we have possibly two or three orders effected by this.

If yours in an effected order, we will ship you a partial shipment less your oil cap.

Sigma Series Oil Caps

We will run the same time as the 6.1 Oil Caps. We have in house orders covered.

Any new business on these will ship in February.

We will ship you a partial shipment if you ordered this along with other pieces and ship this along later.

Hellcat / Demon Supercharger Reservoir Covers

We have 28 back orders now. Those will manufacture in early February.

We have completed all holiday delivery requests, and the bulk of the People’s Sale and December orders. All back orders, and current business will be shipped in February.

Coil Pack Covers

These will go on for the next quarterly manufacturing run in mid February.

We already shipped quite a few sets from The People’s Sale (we took over 100 orders of those during that sale alone).

We have 18 back orders left. Those will ship in February.

We will have inventory on the shelf again, and fully replenished on those to do in your color choice, well into the summer.

Satin Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping in 3-7 business days.  You will usually see your order in satin as pending to ship within a few days after you order it.
