Manufacturing Update May 14, 2021

Good afternoon BT family, thank you for your continued support and trust. As always, we appreciate you allowing us to be part of your ownership experiences.

We have several things to cover today, so lets get right in to it!

Colors In!

First and FINALLY the sublime and jazz blue are back in!! Thank you all for your amazing support and patience.

We have shipped, or are shipping, all the stand alone catch cans in those two batches right now. If all you ordered was a catch can, you either have your tracking details in your email inbox, or will on Monday.

The team is busy engraving up all those parts that have been on order forever and a day. We will be getting the bulk of the orders (in those two finishes) out the door and on the way to you next week.

Everything looks fantastic.

The blue and matte blue are also back in from the May 7th Update so have a look at the tables below to see if your order is back. The team is already hard at work on those items as well.

Colors Out!

More good news on the factory color match items. Smoke Show and Frostbite have gone out to be finished and we also have many orders in TorRed that are out.

We also sent out clear anodize this week (its also back), and racing red metallic out to be finished. The Team also sent a round of matte black coolant tank covers to be anodized.

Take a look at the tables below to see if your order has gone out. If you do not see it, don’t panic just call (561.582.6171) or email us so we can get you information. We are human and miss things, or there may be another reason why the order is not on a particular batch. One of your friendly BT teammates is standing by on the phone to assist or answer your email.

Stock Statuses

We have some stock statuses we we would like to cover with you real quick. On a side note, all product availability will be up to date on the website Monday morning.

Hood Shock Covers

These are running now. Satin machine finishes will ship next week on back orders. Colors will start to go to finishes next week. The red, clear anodize and black orders should ship before the end of month.

Colors will be going out for other finishes weekly until all back orders and new business is filled. Like the fuse box covers these things move like candy. We are building another 1200 sets this should tie us over for a couple months again.

Sigma Series Radiator Caps and Coolant Supercharger Caps

We are sold out. Those will be run the week of May 24th.

Hemi Water Necks

Water necks for 5.7, 6.1 and 392 Hemis are running. Satin machine finish orders are starting to ship now.

Colors will start to go out for finishes next week so we can get the back orders on those completed, and shipped out to you.

Trackhawk Water Necks

Trackhawk water necks (thermostat housing) are back on the shelf, and all satin machine back orders shipped out over the past several days.

Colors on back orders will start to ship later this month, and into June.

Coolant Tank Covers

Guys and gals you gobbled those things right up. We ran several hundred units, and once again, they are all gone! As soon as folks knew we had started to make them a big wave of new business came in.

This is not a “holiday type of rush” that took place, such as the People’s Sale where we move a half year worth of parts in 24 hours. This rush was enough to tap us out again.

Material is ordered, and we will run off another 50 units in early June. We could complete the manufacturing on this before the end of the month, we are just waiting for the material drop to arrive.

Coil Pack Covers

The next manufacturing run will be the end of the month, or early July.

We still have several orders back in house that have been through the color process. Engravings on those orders back in house here will start next week.

Satin Catch Cans

Satin catch cans ordered through May 10th have either shipped, or have cleared assembly and been sent into Andrea for packaging.

If you see your order is “Pending to Ship” allow 3 business days to get into final QC, and packaged.

If your order is in “Ready to Ship” Status your catch can will ship within one business day.

Fuse Box Covers

As we have mentioned on the past several updates the fuse box covers are literally becoming like our catch can. It’s getting to the point we are going to need a dedicated machine to run these every day.

The fun thing is nearly all current business that comes in now is for custom engraving. Wild! This is what makes our job so fun and unique. We get to work one on one with you to bring your ideas and themes to life. It’s good stuff.

New Machine

That brings us back to the dedicated machine. In June we will be ordering another CNC Mill specifically to run fuse boxes, abs covers, and coolant reservoir covers. We are at the point we must do this to keep up with demand. This cannot happen without you guys and gals and we thank you so much.

Team BT is not a massive operation, there are only 10 of us here, and we all wear multiple hats. Our shop is small at 4900 square foot. A lot of stuff moves in and out of the facility on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. It’s why we always invite you to come visit with us so you can see with your own eyes the team is not just a lazy bunch sitting around “milking the clock.”

The Engrave Queue is Humming

If you have been following along on the updates you see the high volume of orders that have been going out and coming back from finishes. Family there is a LOT of stuff in here, and if you were here you would see just how much.

Remember tables for the satin machine finished items are never made or included in the updates, and it’s our most popular finish!

We are currently wrapping up engravings on orange, red, matte red, black, matte black, sublime, jazz blue, and destroyer grey.

Partial Shipments

As COVID restrictions begin to relax in many areas, and shows are starting up again, we want to get you the bulk of your orders to you as quickly as possible. To do this, we are shipping partial orders out to you.

We get it and we want you to have your items ASAP too. Our team has mentioned it many times, in these updates and on our social media channels, the last thing we want is for you to get your items, love them, but want to come burn the shop down because it took “forever.”

This is why we are completely transparent with all the links on the footer of our website what to expect from us concerning, lead-times, terms of payment, deposits, etc.

Supply Chain Shortages

Unless you lived on a deserted island for the past 15-16 months, you know we all are experiencing supply chain shortages.

This is no different for us in this business. We are doing all we can to mitigate any delays and ordering more of the things we use here on the daily such as fittings, hoses, and hardware.

Somethings we may have to start making as far as hardware goes, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it if it becomes necessary.

On some random sized drops of material we are seeing a little longer delay in getting it in, but again, if there is a work around we will do it.

The one thing that WILL NEVER HAPPEN is team BT buying or machining foreign sourced materials. Everything will remain domestic certified from the composites we use to the 6061 we purchase as well as stainless and titanium.
