Manufacturing Update May 9, 2022

Good afternoon BT family. Welcome to May, and the first MFG Update of May 2022. It’s hard to believe we are nearly half way through the year. As always our sincerest thanks for your support and trust.

We have a lot to cover today so let’s get started.

Factory Color Match

First on deck is the factory color match orders:

As we mentioned on the April 15th update, and again our last update posted on April 27th, the only real bottleneck is the factory color match paint. As long as you guys and gals are willing to wait for it, we will continue to offer it.

CFF is Opening Up

Our friends at CCF (our painter) are starting to operate wide open again now that California has begun lifting some of the covid restrictions on businesses. We stick with our partners, and we hope you will stick with us, as we stick with them.

We know the wait can be frustrating, and we encourage you to call us with your questions.

Unfortunately we are down to one painting source again we lost our local supplier. It was not for lack of trying by both parties. We need the paint to adhere to the material. The rejection rate was too high, and we had to part ways. The paint looked great, the durability however what not up to our standards.

CCF delivers on both fronts for us, however having only one supplier will indeed slow down the process.

Weekly Color Match Paint Schedules

Moving forward we will be getting a weekly paint schedules from CCF letting us know when the batches that are out will be painted, and expected ship day back to us. We will share that information with you in the manufacturing updates as well as over the phone when you call in.

Color Match Schedule for This Week

• Sublime from March 8th is completed and on the way back to the BT facility. The parts will be arriving here on May 11th according to the tracking details we have. We will get started on those orders ASAP when they arrive.
• We also have some plum crazy coolant tank covers and misc parts that will be coming back with the sublime above.
• Jazz Blue from March 8th will be shipping back to us this week and we will be seeing those orders back at our facility early next week.
• TorRed from March 8th is being painted this week. This is another big batch and includes catch cans, fuse box covers and coolant tank covers. Those parts will ship by the end of this week. We will see them in here next week.
• Octane Red from March 24th. This is a large batch of orders. These parts will be in the paint and prep process from May 11th through May 18th. These orders will ship back a few days after May 18th and we do expect them back at our facility the week of May 23rd.
• B5 Blue from March 25th is in the painting process now. Those orders will be shipping back to us sometime the week of May 16th.
• Redline Red will be painted starting late the week of May 23rd. We added on to the Redline Red, and you will see an updated table on todays update below on which orders are out.
• Smoke Show orders will be painted the week of May 23rd.
• F8 Green is on todays update and next week we will have an ETA when those orders will be painted. The F8 Green batch left to go out west on May 3rd.  

Colors Out

Since our last update we sent out batches of Smoke Show, Redline Red and F8 Green for factory color match. Batches of Standard Black, Blue, and Matte Blue went to anodize as well as a batch sent for Polish. Please see the tables below for more details.

Colors In

We do have batches that came back in since we last visited with you. The Standard Red, Matte Red, Orange and Matte Orange batches are back in the shop. Many of you already have your tracking details, and some have already received your orders. The rest are in the engrave queue. Color Batches On Deck

Next color batches, including factory color match, on deck to go to finishes are listed below. If you are contemplating placing an order for any one of these finishes, you can make these batches.

• Racing Red Metallic (late this week early next)
• Yellow Powder Coat (late this week early next)
• Titanium and Matte Titanium Anodize (late this week)
• White Powder Coat (early next week).
• Matte Black Anodize (late this week)
• Indigo Blue paint match (mid next week)
• Destroy Grey paint match (early next week).
• Purple and matte purple anodize (early next week).

Inventory

Stock statues are up to date in the availability area next to the unit price on each product. Below are the items we recently ran out of stock on, or are in the process of manufacturing again.

Durango & Track Hawk Super Charger Coolant Reservoir Covers

These will be going on a machine this week. Back orders in satin will start to ship next week, and colors will start to go for finishes next week also.

ABS Covers

ABS Covers are back on the shelf satin machine finishes are shipping colors are going out for finishes.

Hood Prop Covers

We are fully replenished on hood prop covers, including to the Durangos and Jeeps. Satin machine finished prop covers are shipping, colors and polish have started to go out for finishes.

PCV Covers

We have material inbound and will be manufacturing them later this week and next week. Satin machine finish will start shipping the week of May 23rd.

Devo Strut Covers

We sold out last week. Material is ordered and scheduled to arrive here the week of May 23rd.

Uni-Strut Covers

Uni-Strut covers are also sold out and the material is scheduled to arrive the week of May 2rd.

Track Hawk, Ram TRX & Durango SRT Hellcat Water Necks

Track Hawk, Ram TRX and Durango SRT Hellcat thermostat housings are sold out. We will be running them again by the end of the month and making a modification. It seems the factory has made a minor change to the piece and our change will allow part to still fit properly. We are trying to narrow down the build dates this has taken placed. So far we have two where we had to element the “kidney” or key way at the bottom of the part which has no baring on installation. One of these orders is a Track Hawk in Australia the other one is here in the States.

Satin Machine Finish Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping within 3 business days of ordering. All satin cans ordered through this past weekends business were assembled this morning and in shipping now.  

Updated Payment Terms

Folks as a reminder, we know times are difficult for many of you. It’s no different for us. Sky rocketing costs, shortages of materials, and hardware. We are adapting and making the necessary adjustments as we go along. These things are literally changing by the day.

As you all know, we charge a 30% deposit shortly after you place your order with us (usually within one business day after the order is placed).

Effective immediately, when your order heads for finish we will be charging the balance due on your order.

Of course if there is a quality issue after your parts come back in we will alert you immediately and refund you as necessary or send you what we have and remake the items for you. We do this and have done this for years on the send and remake because we know show season is here and you want to ensure you have something on your ride.

At anytime you are not comfortable with this call us. We will work with you. We have to do this because we are running into major problems with people not calling us back to pay the balance on their orders.

We have always operated on the honor system, but now with things becoming tighter, we have to ensure we are paid as we pay our suppliers as they finish up their work. We pay as we go here.
