Manufacturing Update October 8, 2019

Good afternoon everyone many thanks for your support, trust and allowing us to be part of your ownership experiences. We have a quick update here this afternoon with some inventory info and also to let you know what has gone out and come back in from finishes. Burls will also pop in for a quick run down of LSMF. So let’s get to it.

Lone Star Mopar Fest

LSMF was a huge success this year. The new location, Houston Raceway Park, was a perfect fit for this event. Plenty of room for all of the show cars, race cars, vendors and spectators with a world class track to boot. With this new location, growing pains are to be expected, yet they were few and far between.

To kick off the inaugural year at Houston Raceway, LSMF teamed up with the Modern Street Hemi Shootout, bringing the very best in modern Mopar racing to Texas. Racers came in from all over: New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware, Louisiana, and even Canada to line up and battle for the cash, plaques and bragging rights. The track was very well maintained and the racers were able to focus on driving rather than fighting for traction.

On the show car side, Houston did not disappoint. Known as a hotspot for some of the most beautiful custom Mopars in the country, the field was jaw dropping to say the least. Again, enthusiast from all over the country made the trip to see if they could stand up next to the Texas cars. As someone who is lucky enough to attend big events across the country, I can tell you I was beyond impressed.

The sheer number of cars, the level to which they have been modded, the style and incredible attention to detail is mind blowing. The show car area was huge and took me the majority of the day just to walk it, trying to document the vehicles there, and I still missed some. The winners deserved the trophies, and I’m sure everyone will begin working towards next year as soon as they get home.

The Fall Finale is truly an event that every die hard modern Mopar fan must put on their calendar. It’s a weekend filled with the best of both worlds, show and race cars, and the glue which unites them is the people. As a guy who does both, car shows and racing, it’s a special event which brings my race car buddies together with my show car friends. To see them all in one spot laughing, smiling and enjoying all that our community has to offer, well, that’s just magic… that’s Lone Star Mopar Fest.

Stock Statuses

Now back to the MFG Update; There are a couple of things inventory wise we need to let you know about  so have a look below to learn more:

Coolant Tank Cover:
The big coolant tank cover we have one left a customer backed out last week. We will be running more in November for the holiday rush.

6.1 Oil Caps:
We sold the last one over the weekend. Material is here and these will go on the machine for another run this week. Expect little to no delays here on your under hood kits or individual sales.

Power Steering Caps (product code 30017):
We sold out over the weekend. Material is here and these too will go on for another run this week. There will be little to no delays on your under hood kits or individual sales.

Catch Cans:
Catch cans in satin continue to ship within 3-5 days or ordering if not sooner. Colors are going out for finishes several times per week.

Batch Minimums for Finishes

Friends please be mindful we need a “lot minimum batch” to send anything out for color. The good news is our supplier partners are just slaying it, and turning things around quickly, especially the anodize. Every batch coming back in is simply stunning.

Therefore, on some of the colors that cool down, and then get hot again (such as titanium) you may see it sit a tad bit longer until we get enough pieces to go out for plating. We still should be able to stay in close to the 20 business days (4-5 weeks) on color or sooner.

Satin Machine Finish

Folks please remember satin machine finished items we usually have blanks in stock, and if we don’t we inform you in the inventory status on the updates. When you order under hood caps expect to see your order ship within 15 days give or take from the time of ordering.

Colors In, Colors Out

We have had a lot of color batches go out and come back in. The white, clear (standard and matte), titanium (standard and matte), red, racing red metallic and blue (standard and matte) batches have all come back in. The team has sent out black, red, matte red, and matte black batches to our outside supplier partners. Please take a look at the tables below the article for any notes, on your order.

Lead Time for Final Processes
