Manufacturing Update February 22, 2019

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to the last Friday of February 2019. Today’s update is a supplemental one, to keep you up to speed regarding catch cans, a couple stock status notes, and of course, what’s gone out, and come back in from finish.

Thank You

As always, our team wishes to thank you guys and gals for all the support, but most importantly your trust. We broke records for new business in January, and we beat February 2018’s numbers by the middle of the month and we are not done yet.  Just humbled and blown away thank you!

It absolutely is humbling to our crew that you guys and gals choose to become part of the “BT Family” even though you know you will have to wait a bit for your parts. We know you have other choices out there, and we sincerely thank you all for your business.

January Anodize Batches

Any batches sent to anodize in January, which have not returned, should be back here at our facility middle to late next week. We know several of these orders are for Spring Fest and the team has tagged those customers’ orders appropriately, so that we can get them worked on and sent out in time for the event.

Batches Still Out for Finish

Just a quick update to let you know whats still out at anodize (plate) and powder coat also if you do not want to go back and look:

• Black from 1/29
• Copper/Bronze from 1/29
• Matte Black from 2/5
• Purple (Standard & Matte) from 2/8
• Yellow from 2/12
• Orange (Standard & Matte) from 2/19

Black Anodize

Those of you who follow these updates regularly may notice that the batch of standard black anodize from 2/15 is back, however the batch of black from January has not.

The batch of black from the 15th was all catch cans. The black in January was not and includes literally yes, several thousand unique pieces between both batches.

Catch Can Only Color Batches

What we will be doing from this point moving forward, is each week we will be sending cans out for colors in batches between 20-30 cans with no other pieces. These small batches can be completed in a much shorter turnaround time due to racking. Our goal is to get the current bottleneck of cans on order out of the way. This will allow us to start building a stockpile of product on the shelf, ready to go, in the different colors.

As many of you know we have been back in the saddle so to speak on production of catch cans for just a bit over three weeks now after not making any units at for several weeks. We sell over 1,000 cans per month and after the holiday rush we were out of cans, with orders still coming in.

Moving forward we will have plenty of cans, and satin machine finish cans are shipping in 7-10 days, sometimes sooner. We want to get these color can orders filled, without having to bog down our plater with cans and other products. We have very good color consistency and you should not see any issues in variations as we do this.

Need a Satin Finish Catch Can Quickly?

Speaking of catch cans, if you are ordering a satin machine finish can, and you need it shipped out immediately please let us know when you call us and order over the phone.  If you are placing your order online, let us know in the order comments so we can get your can built and shipped quicker for you. If you’ve already placed your order, you can always give us a call and we’ll take care of you.

Orders for Spring Fest

Speaking of Spring Fest, if you have a current order in with us and are attending next month please reach out to us so we can work to get that done for you. If you are thinking of making a purchase and want your parts before SF again, please call (561.582.6171) or email us. We’ll need to know the exact finish you want, and will do what we can to make that happen. Satin machine finish parts can definitely make it out in time.

Stock Statuses

In the update from earlier in the week we informed you guys and gals on stock status as it relates to items that are out of. Nothing has changed with the exception of the wheel spacers. We are shipping those again and we did notate that.

Lead Time for Final Processes

Remember it you see your order has come back in from plating or powder coating please allow us 7-15 days to complete any final processes prior to shipping. Take note when you see so many orders coming back in that each of those orders contains a high number of parts. For example the red and black from the update on the 19th has over a thousand PLUS unique pieces which came back in. Most of those parts need engraving, assembly, quality checked, packed, then shipped.
