Manufacturing Update May 21, 2020

Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for checking in today. Most importantly thank you for all your support, trust, and allowing us to be part of your ownership experiences.

2020 has been a crazy year, and our worlds have been turned upside down. It’s extremely humbling to our team, and we remain grateful for the opportunities you continually provide to us each, and every week. We know you have choices, and we appreciate it that so many of you choose to give us your business.

Today we will keep it supplemental in nature letting you know what has gone out for finish. If you are doing some due diligence on our business prior to placing an order, we have some general information that may be helpful to you.

Batches Returning From Color/Finish

We have not received anything back in this week, but we can tell you that the racing red metallic, and yellow, will be back in our facility by the middle of next week.

The following finishes are still at plating, and we should see these batches back sometime late next week:

• Titanium and Matte Titanium from May 6th
• Purple and Matte Purple from May 13th
• Blue and Matte Blue from May 13th
• Matte Green and Matte Gold from May 13th – (custom one off orders by request).
• Polish from May 16th

Batches Sent Out for Color/Finish

We sent out orange, matte orange, clear anodize, and white for finishes today. Please have a look at the tables below to see if your order has gone out for plating.

Batches on Deck

The next finishes on deck to go out are matte red, standard red anodize, lime green metallic, and standard black anodize. Those will go out sometime next week.

Catch Cans

Satin catch cans are shipping within 3-5 business days of ordering.

If you need us to ship the next day, please let one of our friendly BT Team Members know over the phone, if you are calling in to place your order, or let us know in the order comments section. We will move you up in to the assembly queue, and get your order shipped out.

We have plenty of cans in stock, and we are continually sending them to finishes.

Coolant Tank and Valve Covers

As mentioned in the last couple of updates, we just completed our restocking run on coolant tank covers. We are preparing to put the valve covers on before the end of this month.

Nick, or Alex, will be reaching out next week to current customers with valve cover orders to take your deposits, and to reconfirm your orders.

If anyone is sitting on the fence, and has been wanting a set of valve covers, please call in next week. We have secured one more “drop” of material to add to the material we currently have here. As this is the last, and final run they will go quickly.

If you are interested in adding the breather valve to your set, please let us know when we reach out to you.

Visitors and Local Pickups Resume on June 1st

If you have been following along on the updates you know that currently we are not allowing any visitors at the facility due to Covid-19.

Starting Monday, June 1st, we will resume allowing visitors to come to the facility to pickup their orders, tour the shop, or purchase parts. In person, one on one consults for custom themes will be available again as well.

We look forward to welcoming back our regular locals, who stop in several times per month to say hello, and meeting new friends face to face.

Our team continues to deep clean daily here, sanitizing all work stations, the shipping area several times per day, and your parts are thoroughly cleaned prior to boxing the items up for shipping.

Memorial Day

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Team BT is deeply indebted to the men, and women, who gave the ultimate sacrifice with their lives so that we can be a free nation.

Most folks think of Memorial Day as the official start of summer, but let us all remember those who gave their lives so we can have these long holiday weekends. It’s even more sobering this year with all that is going on, but remember folks, we are alive, and breathing. We have much to be grateful for, even if things seem bleak.

Thank You for all You’ve Done for Us

As all of you know our group has continued to work through the pandemic, and as mentioned we are extremely grateful to be able to do so. We have not taken any bailouts, or government money, and we are able to take care of each other here internally.

When we have been in need of items such as the Viva Paper Towels that we hand wrap your parts in, you, our customers, answered the call in DROVES. You all sent towels, snacks for our crews, gift certificates to Dunkin, or Starbucks to buy us breakfast. It’s just been unreal the generosity shown by the extended BT Family and that is you our customers, and we are ever so grateful.

We Have All Been Effected By COVID19

We have have been fortunate to be able to work, but just like you, we feel the stress and uneasiness from the pandemic. We all have been experiencing these feelings in one way, or another, since things really broke open in early March.

Our group, and supplier partners, have adapted to the ever changing environment on a day to day, and week to week basis. Several of us here at the shop have had our spouses laid off, either temporarily, and yes, some sadly permanently. So like many of you reading this, we have felt the stresses too, so we know and we are right here with you.

Memorial Day Schedule

As the primary decision maker in the company, I felt it was time for our crew to be able to unplug, and recharge a bit. Many of the folks here are avid golfers, own boats, and love to recreate outdoors. Our county (Palm Beach) is reopening boat ramps, and golf courses this week as we enter into “phase one” reopening.

I made a “boss” decision to close the facility at 8:00 P.M. this evening (May 21st), and remain closed until Tuesday, May 26th. Our crew has been working hard, and they need to go enjoy a little bit of a life, that they too have not been able to the past two and a half months. We have gone to work, and gone home, only going out for the basic needs and early on sending one of our teammates to do the shopping for all of us to cut down on exposure. They deserve to blow off some steam, and enjoy some R&R.
