Manufacturing Update December 1, 2020

Good afternoon family, and welcome to December! We have made it to the holiday season, and 2020 is close to being in our rearview mirror. As always, big a thanks to all our friends, family, and customers for the generous support you have shown us in this very eventful, and trying year.

2020 What a Year

With your love and support it has been our biggest year ever and we are not finished yet. We made a promise to be here with you guys all the way through the Covid Pandemic, and in turn you have been there with us. Our team went down hard with the virus in the summer, coming back online again just after Labor Day.

As we have made mention prior, and many times since, the support, the love, the calls, the gifts sent in were just unreal. We will never be able to say thank you enough for everything you have done for us.

12 Days of Winning!

The Holiday Season is always a special time here at Billet Technology. We love to give back to you, and we will continue to do so all throughout December.

Be sure to join us on our social media pages, especially on Instagram, where Monday-Friday, now through December 16th, we will be doing our 12 days of Winning on the Wheel of Winning! At 3:00 (eastern) we’ll be picking one of you to join us via IG Live, to spin the wheel for BT Bucks!

Today SRT-Marquee was chosen, and he departed a big winner of $700 BT bucks. He applied that to his current orders, and had a few dollars left over! We love it when you are winning, and that’s what the holidays are all about.

Inventory Update

The inventory posting from the November 24th Manufacturing Update remains. We have updated the availability of all products within our online store also.

We encourage you to watch these updates as we will let you know what we are running, and what has sold out.

As mentioned, our Team will be manufacturing short runs on lots of stuff this holiday to keep up with current orders, satin machine finished items shipping, as well as keep color batches flowing to our awesome vendor partners.

Short Runs on Deck

The following items material is here now and we are putting them on to start manufacturing tomorrow:

• ABS Covers
• Sigma Series Oil Caps

And of course every other day we get catch catch can material in to keep our dedicated turning center for that product running continually.

Satin Catch Cans

Speaking of satin catch cans, we are shipping them in order of receipt. All cans from November 12th (in satin) through November 30th are in the assembly queue now or have shipped.

We are running a bit behind on the 3-7 business days to ship due to the sheer volume of orders we have taken.

All holiday delivery requests have shipped, or in shipping now.

Folks if you need us to ship your can the next business day after you order call (561.582.6171) or email us and let us know.

Have a current satin catch can order in with us now which has yet to ship, and you need us to get it out to you stat?
Drop us an email, or call us. We will get you moved up and out of assembly, and into the lovely Andrea to get your item packaged, and out the door to you.

1300 Cans and Counting!

Just unreal how much love you have shown us as we have sold 1300 plus catch cans since November 12th. THANK YOU!

We realize you have choice. We appreciate all of you who continue to support our team, the originators of the Modern Mopar Catch Can way back in early 2007. Lots of folks have copied our product, many right on down to the exact appearance.

Team BT is not working out of a home garage, and telling you we moved to a larger location, all while not returning calls or emails. No logix in that!

We have been in the same location for 41 years. Thank you again.

Factory Color Matched Batches

As we posted last week on the November 24th update, we have multiple batches of factory colors that have gone out to be finished. As those come back in we will update you here.

All of those orders have been iridited, and are at factory color match now. Please be sure to check back here frequently, or call us for an update anytime.

Batches Still Out for Color/Polish

The following batches are still currently out at finish and we are providing an ETA for you on when we expect those orders back in house:

• Redline Red from November 6th
  – Redline Red was racked, and being cleared yesterday (November 30th). We should see that batch in later this week.
• Racing Red Metallic from November 6th
  – On schedule to be back later this week
• Matte Red from November 13th
  – This batch is almost done, and will be back this week.
• Copper both matte finish and machine finish from November 17th
  – These should be back next week
• Blue and matte blue from November 17th
  – Both of these should also be back next week.
• Polish from November 24th
  – This batch will be back later this week or early next week.

Holiday Delivery Requests

Please remember we are filling holiday delivery requests first. We have dedicated holiday delivery tables for both the orange and red that went out today.

Standard delivery orders have their own tables below. We will be making many visits to our vendor partners here over the next several weeks.

Servo Motor Out for Repair

We currently have a servo motor that is out for repairs on one of our lathes. We are making adjustments to keep the impacts on turning work as minimal as possible.

We should be up and running on that lathe before the end of the week. Our amazing repair tech, John from V-Tech, is staying local to us until that motor comes back in.

One Mazak is Down

One of our Mazak Machining Centers (milling) is also down, however this was scheduled. Team BT prides itself on smooth glass like surface finishes, and we are getting some chatter on that machining center. The spindle needs some hardware, and some tightening up. We should have that put back together making chips by the end of the week.

Yes, it’s a busy time of year to take it down, but we had to do it. Our work is a reflection of who, and what, we are, and we will not put out trash finishes. Not happening here, ever! We will work around this to minimize impacts on production, once again this was planned, and we accounted for this.
